I would think she'd have to formally request her account be completely deleted...along with all her stuff...in order to free it up. TSR will try to milk it for as much as they can get. Only way to stop that, is complete delete.

If she posts somewhere publically saying that she wants her files to be free then TSR can not keep them pay. Keep it private and Thomas will ignore it but make it public knowledge and he will have to release them.
