Penny,

If you're looking for some constructive criticism....I will offer this one thing on what's otherwise a great looking house.

Consider doing some lowering of the roof level on the drawn pergola bits. The columns you are using are too short, and if you bring the floor down a bit (constrainfloorelevation trick...see MTS2 for tutes), the pergolae will match up better.

Well, I tried creating eyes for the first time the other day, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve, let me know!

I hadn't realised how many creators there were here either, though, before reading this thread. ^_^ (If that didn't make any sense, sorry... I swear it's more grammatically correct in French--and for those who haven't figured it out from my saying that, yes, French is my mother tongue.)

Hecubus: Thanks a lot! Nevertheless that I knew that. The gap between columns and the "short wall" is annoying indeed.. I try to understand what you mean (I kind of understand but 100%. I'm also not very good at using that cheat code) and next time do it better! Smiley

Not bad for a first go.

It would help if I knew what paint prog you use.

Actually, there are bajillions of tutes online for PShop and Corel Painter, etc., and I've seen eye tutes before, probably while snarfling brushes on Deviant Art (which is otherwise to be avoided).

I'd suggest de-flattening the iris. It's nicely coloured, but has the EAxian flatness retained.

Also, eye looks dry. Some stuff to try: light shadowline along top where lashes would hang over, sclera / tearducts. adding a highlight / wet look to white of eye (tuts on making glass-like ball shapes can be adapted to eyes if you can't find eye tuts).

That's one thing Maya is good for: instant blinn manips for glass, chrome, crystal, more. Too bad I don't personally own it or have an excuse to play with it, as Broadcast design isn't my major, it was an elective chosen solely to work with the 3d progs.

Sorry for telegram-type posts; am supposed to be editing a long research paper and am procrastinating on a time limit, so have to hurry to respond. OK w/U? OK! STOP

I think it would be better marketed as the "chronic masturbator sim" Captain Berg - that would work.

I need help.... there has to be a word for why I keep making eyes even after swearing to myself I wouldn't.

The really sad thing is I can't upload these up until I finish the Retooled series... that section of my website is out of order/choatic enough as it is.

THEN... they will be my last.  I MEAN IT OMG.  Wait... I'll need to make defaults ::cries::

Ren, not only I want them, but I need them, like desperately. How gorgeous! Have you considered making contact lenses out of them too? That would be very cool.

Oh, I see. I like your sheep, it's very cute, I hope it comes in all colors, because there is all kinds of sheeple, and can't wait to download it at the SFV when available. I adore your meshes.  Smiley
