I'm posting to say that I'm going to post things. Because otherwise I'll procrastinate instead. I did some walls, too, that I plan on posting at MTS2. Still finishing, but I have approximately 50 stuccos. Yup.
50
. Hecubus inspired me to quit sitting on my butt and saying that eventually I'll start making some walls so my houses don't all look identical. I also have some house numbery stuff I can share, possibly, but I'm not sure how much people would actually want them because you do need to use snapobjectstogrid false to place them, since I just did them for myself while my mom watched. They can't be posted on MTS2 due to the mesh being a payfile I ripped from TSR and set to a new GUID (it still references the original in name). If anyone here got the wall signage for Prospect University, you've already seen the general idea. I assume no one would want the matching bits that contain the streetnames of my 'hood. Too personalized.
Oh, and terrains. You can haz terrains. Four of 'em, varied and with lots of realistic landscaping but small paved areas. I like my 'hoods a bit urban, and that's difficult to do with most terrains, so my current 'hood is quite small...about 19 square wide and 13 squares tall if you count roads. If you have your game set to show the largest area possible, you can place a house on the east coast see the water on the west coast. I'm sharing that one, plus two ones I made for colleges (one itty bitty tiny, one medium) and the one for my mountain vacation destination (buildable area coming out the side of a mountain, very small and such, because my vacation lots are all self-built and I don't want to spend two years on it. I'll probably not submit until tomorrow, unless my best friend poops out on me tonight.
Still need to rehack my stupid easels for FT functions. Blech.

heh...glad I could inspire!
And...I'm glad the notebook texture works out. I plan on releasing about 48 wall colors - will start with a baseboard-only version, then create ones with crown moulding, chair rails, and some wainscoting too.
I'm playing with natural fibres too, for the canvas texture...fingers crossed they work out well and don't look like some others' walls (I think Tribecca has a set like that).
Added because no one else posted inbetween:
I've got the first set of walls complete - all but one (I thought I had 48, but I apparently have 47...whoops).
Here's a preview of them.
But now I have two questions:
1. do you want each wall individually wrapped? Or all in one set? Or both?
2. gven the colors I've done, what kind of color do you want me to do? (The Sherwin Williams palette is massive).

Those are perfect, Hecubus. my game is always lacking nice walls and I'm often left with no choice but to reuse the same half-decent Eaxis walls.
Personally, I prefer downloading walls in bulk - as in, all in one set. I like a wide range of colours and downloading each individually makes my clicking finger frown.

I would really like some colors that go with dark green or dark red carpet. Not gonna lie, I use a total of, like, 3 carpet colors in my houses. XD

Okay, I'm probably a dunce, but I'll ask this anyway. I click your link. It takes me to the website - specifically the Sherwin-Williams page. I click the walls. Multiple. Each one downloads something called "orange crush." I open the rar...picture looks nothing like the walls previewed. Am I doing something wrong, or is this an error?
Oh...and I prefer the walls to be a big set and if possible not Sim2Packed. I know Parsimonious does this. But if that's not possible - no big deal. I'll still download them. They're gorgeous.

I was just showing the colors, hon. I've not actually gotten the packages prepared for download yet. That's why I said "here's a preview of them", not "get them here".

Yeah sorry. I'm silly. I just got confused when it said, "click the pictures to download." And I was actually able to click. Well, they look gorgeous!

I say one big pack is easier to code, and for you to put into zips. Bless their little hearts, they can delete stuff.

One zip to bind them,
One zip to gather them all,
And in the package wind them...
Sorry, I couldn't help it! You made me do it, Hec, you did you did you did!!

I've been enjoying the tester ones in game. They look real nice. THe wallpaper one has grown on me, and I think that a series of those will be really nice too.
Also: Paden, you made me LOL. srsly.

Well, I will be officially releasing these (plus any others I wind up making) next week, but as a treat for those who helped me out (or who just read along), you can
get the first 47 here
.
And Paden...that was funny; glad you picked up the hint!

Oh, I'll get the first 47 there. And I'll like it.
Got a non pirate eyes eyeset loaded up at sublimesims now. All the natural color groups represented. These are not geneticized or defaulted. I don't know how to do either one of those things, so this is just a set of 8 custom eyes. 4 light, 4 dark.
