We are not saying we don't love your art, just expressing our wish for the technology and creators tools to advance faster than they are. I have actually featured your work a couple of times on Free Sims Finds. I like that you offer a variety of paintings from modern to vintage type art. That gives me more choices when building a lot or decorating a home. Besides every creator has their forte, you enjoy creating new art while others may like creating new furniture meshes or hair conversions. By the way I must not have read your first posts, welcome to PMBD.

A second dstar: I check your site every day and I love that there's always something new to look at! While not everything you post is my style, I still love browsing through ALL your screenshots in the same way I'd browse through a real art gallery. Your work is wonderful!

Actually I am the same dstar (and deestar) I have been a member here for several months. I have actually almost passed the 500 post mark. I was here under another name while getting my Google Toolbar straightened out after it crashed  and caused my to lose all my bookmarks and passwords. That is my user name on Sailfinsims and Free Sims Finds. Same person, both me. At Free Sims Finds I try to present a rounded variety of content, and it is really dependent on what I find on a given day. For instance, this last week creators on sites like Nocturnal, Garden of Shadows and other sites offering more alternative content have been more active in producing content for TS2/TS3 so that is what has gone up in finds. Next week it may be sites that do a lot of  High Fashions stuff like Stylist Sims, Pretty Baby, and Agustin. I also haven't been able to post anything from WNF Sites like Adele or FabulousSims this week because they are moving their server.

Also it would help if people just PM with what they would like to see or I will post a poll at LJ or the forum that you can go to. That way I know whether to look for Maxis Match, etc

dstar,

Thank you. I hope you don't think I'm upset. I just wanted you all to know where I was coming from. I'm very appreciative that you've included my site in your updates. I'm really happy that you all like what has been put out so far, whether it's to your taste or not. I have to say, this experience has been one of the best I've ever had in this community and for that, I'm a happy camper. Smiley

simsartgallery, I love all the paintings you are putting up on your site. My Mods folder is so going to hate you soon. Smiley

I really haven't been looking at lots because there are only a limited number of lots rather than we just plop a lot where ever we feel like it, but I am doing a huge redo of Sunset Valley. I have done work on/moved or rebuilt everything in the main part of town, around City Hall, except for the park. I really don't want to redo that one, because I suck at making parks. So I was looking on MTS to see if anyone had posted an parks that can be used to replace that one, and I found one that looks really good. It's called Nu Central park, and it has outdoor and indoor ponds, a stage, lots of outdoor green space, and a playground. I can't wait to see it in game.

OH, OH, OH.  White stairs for Sims 3.  http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=362401

Still sad that creators have to spend time on this, though, because EA got its head stuck up its butt and left stairs non-recolorable.

New roofs, new stairs, Go FreeSites!!  I sure hope some matching fencing is coming soon.  EA really screwed the pooch on fences and stairs.  They should have made them recolorable.

They originally were - I guess they decided not to so they could sell recolours in the store >.>

You know, 3 games and a whole mess of expansions and stuff packs and store crap and the god damned stairs still never match without having to be modded. Ugh.

But much thanks go to Srikandi for this.

Modders are looking into this. i.e. making non recolorable stuff fully recolorable in CAST. Like the CEP. 'Hope they get it soon. In the meanwhile you there's already single recolors for plants, clutter and now stairs (grab'em all at MTS). that's already a lot. Sad Fuck you EA.

I've been avoiding recolors of non recolorable things right now because I don't want to get my catalogs all cluttered up, I had and still have that on Sims one, don't want to deal with it again. Hopefully they can get that worked out.

HugeLunatic made a counter height version of the Limbo window.

And Deluxe Designs made a Roman Seating set, it has 2 seats, a 2 seater loveseat and a 1 seater armchair. They look a lot like the benches people put in foyars of their houses, or at the end of their beds, so thats what I'm really going to be using them for.

Today has seen a crapload of new furniture and build mode stuff for Sims 3. Edited to reflect that Rum Nate just posted the Roman Seating and Limbo Window

Stylist Sims has a new dining set out and I just tested and none of the obvious problems as with their living room set- also all mention of Donations- and Donation sets has been taken out of their TS3 FAQ. You can get it here http://www.stylistsims.net/sims3/objects_01.html

Sims3Marketplatz has a new dining room set and a new kitchen set- The kitchen is under downloads/objektes/kuchen, and the dining set is under downloads/objektes/essenzimmer. You can get them here but you have to register to download- site is in English and German. http://www.sims3marktplatz.net/forum/index.php?page=Portal

Carrigon has converted the flower fairy mesh from M&G for TS3. You can get it here http://www.sims2workshop.com/viewtopic.php?t=3275. Just like with the Sims3Marketplatz registration is required to download.

The free community kicks ass, 3 new furniture sets, a new roofs,  new stairs, a new window, and new clutter objects all in one day for a game that has been out less than 3 months.

Stylist Sims removed all donations/pay references? Did they do it too for their sims 2 site?
Gosh the window, the benches are awesome and the fairy statue (perfect for gardens), thanks for the links guys Smiley

Come to think of it I don't understand why we don't know how to make the unrecolorable stuff CASTable, while we're able to do a new mesh fully recolorable. How come we can't correct the plants, stairs, fences and clutter?! Huh It ain't logic.

EDIT: Carrigon also has a pitcher here: http://www.sims2workshop.com/viewtopic.php?t=3262
EDIT2: looking at the pics the benches seem to have a flaw on the left armchair of all the benches. Anyone checked them ingame to see if it's the OP's specs making crappy pics or if it's a real flaw?

Still pay for TS2 at Stylist Sims  but free for TS3 so far and with no mention of donation packs other than this - " Donation sets are under the copyright of Stylist Sims and may NOT be cloned, recolored or redistributed in any way. Ask for special permission if you want to recolor them! " Which says nothing indicating whether they plan on donation packs for TS3 or not. They seem to be sticking to Delphy, Peter, and WesHowe's EULA's so far at any rate.
