Don't know where to put that. Well, here'as a bad news: Liana posted 2 paysets on her site, arguing that maintaining a site costs money yada yada. You know, the usual. I'm extremeley decieved. See the betrayal here:

You weren't stupid, Dr House, people do change. Unfortunately not everyone "sees the light" though. We can only hope other will change and the ones that don't, we'll continue mixing with mud and shit. After all, wouldn't a paysite-free world be a boring Utopia for us pirates? Something tells me we're kinda like chimps, we need at leats a couple of people to fling poo at, gives us an extra hobby

I've never really gotten into Sims in Paris' items only because the screenshots of everything are so bright and kinda weird. However, I saw this recolor Livingroom 6 over at SAU and I must say it looks like a rather nice set (not to mention the cabinet recolors are very lovely).
Recolors by Sesame found

ETA: If you are a fan of the Jonesi blanket, Amythestfenix (whose recolors I LOVE) has done it in all her linen solids here:

Note that you can also get towels, the whodunit lamp, and various curtain sets in those solids over at Laden Swallow:

All we can say is yeah right Liannaa server costs my ass- If you really wanted to be shut of paysite shit and TSR really Delphy, Sailfindragon , WNF, any of these guys could have helped you find a free home for your sites. Call the pile of shit what it its- GREED pure and simple! Also we all suggest you stop using WesHowe and Delphy's tools for creating your stuff- THEIR TOU's forbid you for using it for pay content! Try the TS3 Workshop- after all what harm could it do- Thomass and Atwat already have all your infos and have spread it all around cause you has worked for them for years, and I am sure they will reimburse you if your computer blows up from one of the viruses in the ads the Workshop connects you to (sarcasm intended).

That recolor looks awesome, I must snag it!
As for Lianaa, I too am disappointed since she was showing very promising signs of going free (Releasing all her old TS2 sets etc.) - Now I'm going to take great liberty in removing the links to her site from mine.

I hate the cost argument. It is such BS! If someone
truly
is finding that hosting their content is proving expensive then they are not being resourceful or are just plain stupid.
Years ago I worked on a mod for Morrowind which was one of the most popular and most downloaded mods. I'm not exaggerating to say that thousands of people or more downloaded it. It wasn't a small file either. It replaced all the default heads and hair and I think the final version ended up being over 100MB.
And you know what? We always found sites willing to host out mod, several in fact, and for free.
This was well before the days of Mediafire and other file sharing sites too. Now with those and the free image hosting sites, any idiot can make a web page and then just link to offsite free hosts for file and image hosting. So what bandwidth would they be paying for exactly, the bandwidth of transmitting text?

I absolutely agree, I never had much to do with hosting, but a close friend of mine does and has a couple of his own webpages. A year-long cost for a site is really small nowadays, especially if you combine it with storing download files on mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, or whatever else rocks your boat. It makes it almost impossible to think, that a person who can afford an internet connection, a computer, TS3, TS2 (or both), plus licences for tools needed to create meshes, photoshop which isn't cheap, and what not else, can't afford to host a site using methods mentioned above. Last I remember, my friend told me, that the cost is somewhere around 80 pounds (sorry for no symbol, I don't live in Britain, and for hell can't find the symbol on my oh so, eastern european keyboard). 80 pounds a year? I spend more than the equal amount in my currency (after currency exchange, of course) a month on cigarettes.

I left Liana a comment.

You know, you can get very reasonable hosting, that doesn't require you to have to make items pay to fund it.
There's lots of people out there that will help you find a better host, and offer support and help.
If other sites can be hosted without the need to go pay, she can too.

I downloaded it, and I will be testing it later. It is going on the Finds site later this evening. I don't think there should be many problems other than lack of experience with the tools or creating. I tested his port of Agustin's ponytail yesterday and there is nothing really wrong with it, other than some glitchiness that was present initially in the mesh that even Agustin does not seem to have been able to get rid of.
On the Sims 2 front Nymphy has updated at Nocturnal Sims
http://nocturnalsims.dreamwidth.org/
. A skirt with stompy boots, more male facial hair, ripped stockings, and some cute clothing and hair recolors.
Also one of my favorite TS3 creators so far - Papercat. She mostly does makeup but it puts anyone at TSR in the DUST. Her eye makeup and lipstick is incredible in game. You can see it in this shot of my Riverview Rock Star Sim - Janna James
. Janna is wearing Papercat's Freckles, Faded Flare eyeshadow, Outer Eye Eyeliner and her Lip Lines lipstick- all non replacement. You can find Papercat's stuff here

Yeah - even a shoutcast server is only 10 dollars a month if you don't have too many listeners. And that's something that takes a lot more space, between having space to load music files for the auto-dj and streaming at high quality.

There are also places like Yahoo Groups, LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, Blogger, Blogspot, Wordpress etc where you can put up a blog type content site that may not be as pretty or as sparkly. What it will be is free or mostly free- and at least for LJ and Dreamwidth memberships that give all sorts of little perks like more file storage, more user pics, and the ability to design your own site layout only costs about 25 USD per year. Frankly there are plenty of respected creators that post creations for free on these sites like Nymphy, Aikea Guinea and Gelydh (they also maintain an independent site as well) , Skittleboxes, Simgaroop, and Selzi and they don't seem to have any problems with the fact that the blog type set up doesn't offer fancy layouts or blinkies.

Not many of them would want blinkies on their site would they? But this is Peggy, if she can't have more blinkies than a normal human can stand, it wont work for her. But even if she chose to do a blog one, couldn't she just upload a million blinkie images to the blog to blind people?
