If "in ages" means "this year", then you are right. They had one free release of a donation set in December. But before that there was a two or three months break, so they are making a progress, but not a very fast one. They promised to release one to two sets a month if I remember right though.

They still have 9 paysets though, and until these are gone they are considered pay. If they qualify for comparison was discussed a few sites back.
My personal opinion is that they do, at least for hairstyles since none of their hairs was ever pay, so if a comparison for a pay hair is needed to prevent people from paying and XM has a similar one, why not use it? But opinions don't matter here as long as there are facts.

And btw., the TSR one is just a recolor of the XM hairstyle...

They announced that they were going sans pay ages ago - and they didn't stick to releasing stuff as they indicated they would or they would have been free by now.

Look, it's relatively simple. At other sites, they can mealy mouth about pay and what is not technically pay, while ignoring that the site is pay. Here at paysites must be destroyed, favouritism and ignoring paysites isn't really logical.  Seeing as the booty is all free, then we could have a rather pointless discussion about how file 1 from booty directory 1 owns file 2 from booty directory 2 - and what's the point?

This thread is supposed to drive away support for free paysite samples (which is basically what they are - they certainly don't put crap no one wants up for pay) and towards freesites, so they start to wonder why their traffic is down. If their traffic is down, then that means less people wandering in for free stuff and then considering paying them.

I put up the other sentance up as personal opinion and as small font because I for myself would never think about buying a payset containing clothes or objects when I am only interested in hairfiles. So if someone told me where I could get a file for free which is very similar to a payfile I'd be totally happy if I didn't know about filesharing sites. Maybe that's the mentality of me as a person who calles herself a filesharer, not a pirate...

Thank you all for the explanations.  In this case, I ask you to ignore the XM vs TSR comparison of my post, and turn you're attention to the PeggyG vs Berneseland comparison in it.  We all know full well that comparison is a real paysite vs freesite.  Sorry for the mix up.

Well, at this stage it's not looking good - Sims 2 will be over, and maybe they'll skate on this one.  As it stands they've done a remarkably good PR job - everyone keeps saying they're free, but they're not.  They really have no impetus to actually go free, because this way they can have their cake and eat it too.

Well in this case, I think it was a difference of interpretation hampered by ESL (which I would never have guessed Rissa), but yes, this happens to me a lot. Particularly in the field of crime - it is apparently an affront that I know more than your average forum goer.

I've never seen a two or three story school in my life, outside of college.

In the tiny little town I used to live in in Ohio, the only school was K-12 and had three stories plus a basement.

Ms. Barrow's looks like the elementary schools im my city. TwoFlower's looks like a few of the older high schools in my city. For the most part the schools here are 2+ stories. A few of the new ones are only one story, but that is all.
