Me neither. It seems that a lot of people thought they were a good idea at first, but soon abandoned their group.

I belong to the planning board of a mystery festival and we used a Yahoo group for a couple of years. However, it became easier to just send out a group email. So it died off, too.  :lol:

Anyone still interested?  First rant on her new group.  I dunno, I thought as pirates we have a name to uphold...

The Main Street Sims Site was not closed down due to the Pirates as
they think it was.  It was closed down because this is the way I
wanted it to be.  Reason: Site contract ran out!!  I was tired of the
name and wanted a new name. This is why I opened up

I had been opening and closing the refined sims2 group to get away
from all of the fighting in the sims2 community as I want do part of
it.  The Pirates are liars, thieves, poor excuse for a human and
destroying our sims2 community. I believe in standing up for what I
believe in and I do just that. And I always will no one is going to
tell me what to do* they can ask me in a nice way* but not tell me as
it won't work. I told Edna and the staff that I was going to fight
against the pirates only to fine out she was one of them!
I also told them that I did not want them to get involved just to
stay at the group and keep it going. I had no idea she would change
the name of my group as she knew how much the group meant to me. Yet she destroyed it for me along with the other staff members that I
had. Now if you would like to leave do so, I am me and this is the
way that It is going to be.

I am a very nice person and good hearted person, but I will not take
BS from anyone on this internet!!!!!  And never try to control me as
it won't work for you.

That site is now free to all except for the donation files.

My head moderator turned against me *I found she was one of my past
trolls* and talked the other in on going with her. They were paid
with a free subscription to my site. Three of them did not due their
job and were kept on my me anyway. * Nan, Michele liar, and Mandi. I
fired them then took them back time and time again.
Nan lied deceived me that she could not create when all along she had
her own site. I didn't mind this, but her deceit.

This is my business not yours so don't make a comment on this topic.  

I really don't mind this as I was fighting against the pirates and
all of them joined the pirates group and are now pirates.

Tired of the name and wanted to change it? I thought it was because everyone reported her and big authorities put pressure on her. Hmmm...guess I just was confused because WE CANNOT CONTROL HER.

I've been reading this thread, and she kind of reminds me of this girl I went to college with. She used to blow up at people all the time for no reason, and threaten to beat them up. She also used to say she had stories she'd wrote in her head...

That lovely note of contradictions came from the Silver Slippers group which is now once again Jan's Refined Sims 2. I agree with SparklePlenty. Why post this if no one is invited to respond? And does she even realize the others (her mods and co-owners) kept the emails from Jan giving the old group to them?

I was just thinking yesterday that Jan was due to blow as her thread here had died down.  :roll:

My, my, my. talk about lies.  She knew about Nan's groups for they were set up to be a part of Refined Sims 2.  I talked everyone into turning against her, hmmmm, her rants and nasty emails to us had nothing to do with it?
Yes and I wonder how long I've been working with you all just to close her down?  We all just recently joined the forum, and didn't know it was here UNTIL it was posted on her group.  Where does it say in any of these post that the forum shut her down?  I'm very confused.

I love the fact that I was one of her trolls in sims 1.  I didn't know about yahoo groups then.  I used to go to Sims Finder 2000 and TRS when they were free.
Did we give anyone any of her paid stuff?  I know I didn't, for by the time I came here, you already had it.

Does anyone know what set her off this time?  I don't understand at all what is going on, but her spelling is so much better.  If anyone is controling her, please put her back on her leash and don't forget the muzzle.

No idea. I suspect it is because she saw this thread dying out and had to resurrect it. There have been very few messages from her group, and then this.

Apparently not, Marie.

She seems to thrive on drama like no one I've ever met. Worst part is, it's so easy for others to get caught up in that need - perpetuating that co-dependent thing. I know it's hard to walk away...I've been in those situations far more than I'd care to admit....but at some point, you have to remember that drama is for the stage, and we shouldn't be in any dramas we're not being paid for.

On the other hand....when you're a few steps removed from the drama, it's better than the movies! I think, even though I may have set her off, I never really was part of her drama here...just the catalyst. So someone hand me some popcorn and let's watch!
