Yeah, I agree with Marhis.  I don't hate noobs, but I do hate noobs who don't read things like FAQs.  I usually patrol a forum reading things to get the tone of the posts, and to see if I should post.  

I even did this with my first forum, trying to work things out so as not to be a stupid person, so I see no excuse.

Actually, S2C has a free finds section, and Parsimonious doesn't seem to include paystuffs anymore - or perhaps it is that paystuffs just aren't good enough.



Stop being one. Many sites, including all of Pescado's have shown that donation works.  Members paid $2100 for a new server, and some even donated before the server was sure, knowing that it would go to beer and some such for them.



This is the reason that they must be destroyed - and why they need all their money taken off them.  The evil just proliferates.

I don't think that recolours of pay meshes should be on free sites - customers should complain to the business and ask for better reds. Or businesses should pay free sites that fix their fuckups.

What a dipshit - charging for recolours - while his own meshes are free. They would want to be fucking gold plated at the prices he charges.

That stuff is very Carla Niven.  I don't think that it's very nice, or very well done.  And I'm sure that I've seen them somewhere else - checked Carla Niven, and they didn't match - has anyone else seen them elsewhere?

The reality is that paysites will find ways to worm out of their promises to the community, just as TSR did. They're not really interested in keeping this sort of thing out of the way, but rather keeping it quiet - that's how they co-opt Delphy and others into banning links to this site.

I agree about the indispensable things - the things people need being free - and they are indispensable because they are brilliant.  

Paysites would just find a way to say - oh no - these files are the real money spinners, and therefore will be locked behind the golden curtain. And if you proposed this to TSR, they would just say Oh - the kudos system - contribute to the evil and you can have one free day in 2009.

I have to agree with the objections of trying to make the site more exclusive or protecting young kids.  My kids are threatened and patrolled by me on the internet, and I don't see why we should take care to protect them in this forum when their parents aren't.

I know that a lot of people posted in the guest book - seems to have had an impact.

I didn't post that on your forum, and I have been pretty active in the why hate paysites, with not one ounce of your necessary censorship needed because I have abided by your rules. But if you come here, where Pescado pretty much lets me speak my mind - then I can abide by his rules, and you either lump it, or leave, just as we have to do on your site.

I put forward my opinion on someone else's site - I didn't PM you, or even ask you to check it out. I just said what I think within the rules of this forum, just as I did on yours.  

I didn't order, or dictate, or demand, but put forth an argument, and I didn't even address you personally.  You might own MTS2, but you don't own here. Being a member of this site doesn't mean that you get to dictate to me either.

And I think it's pretty damn stupid to have a policy about free things, when people upload to MTS2 with "want to see more of my stuff - come to openhousejack/exnem/crapperata" - it kinda makes you look like a paper tyrant - one who will say "oh paysites are bad" while promoting them on the featured or front page of your site, telling people that if they want more featured content like this, just click on the link.
