46  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / PIMP MY SIMS on: 2007 July 24, 07:48:01

You do nat understand what you are doing with that pirate thing.
You are taking pay creators work, put it on your server to get downloaded. Is that ok in anyway?
You are insulting those people.

Before Pescado said that -  in order of your questions: yes we do, that's exactly it, hell yeah and that's the plan!

(Note that by 'those people' I meant payscum -- in case you slither back and twist my words as if I dissed all CC creators, since you slimy apologists love to employ this tactics)

Always a Gangrel too. Damn I miss the game so bad. Should mayhap try and and force it run again somehow.

It's not all bad, the name put the song "Rock Me Amadeus" in my head!  It's really the only positive thing involved with learning of this person's existence, though.

I think it's more the number-name thing. I hate number-names, but THAT particular number name conjures up images of BURNINATION for some reason.

Do you think the Amadude himself put those numbers there knowingly? 'cause I find it kinda mismatching for him to dig this book and be such a pathetic twit.
49  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Uh.... WTF?! on: 2007 May 28, 08:07:48
To be frank, I would love to see how certain Sim characteristic look with real people. Like farting right into someone's (who's eating) face and getting happy giggles for reaction. Or neatness 0 Sim festing on a bag of chips. Or those grimaces they make when goose happens nearby...

You know, I start liking the idea of this movie.

Some people who are involved in the project previously did masterpieces like Eragon or Scary Movie 3. So it's gonna be truly top quality movie.

Does it amuse anyone else that one of the reasons EA might be so hyper aware of the paysite issue is because of paysite owners and their lackeys bombarding them for the last few months about protecting their paysite content from us?

I'd be very happy, warm and fuzzy if it was indeed a case, because it'd be  a tremendously, mind-bogglingly stupid thing to do - and paysites & stupid should belong together.

Pennynine, methinks Cpt Berg mentions you don't need expansion packs, tiny lots are prolly built on MaryLou's minis - you gotta download them if you want to build small houses yourself.

That said, I downloaded all them houses, thank you very much. I absolutely hate building them bastards (only furnishing gets more hate from me in this game) and hunt small no CC, preferably furnished houses everywhere.

Fortunately, Clean Installer allows you to install lots only, leaving all the garbage behind. And I honestly see no point of uploading families along.

Obscurity, in 'fox there is 'save link as...' command. Worked fine for me.

Same here. Everytime I spawn or create a sim that I'm especially fond of I want to show and share with the world. Of course, in my case, the world generally doesn't give a damn.

Maybe she does, too. And employs this sneaky "Hard to get and that's why craved" promo campaign, because otherwise why would everyone be so interested in those nuff special sims of her?
54  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / So...who runs this site? on: 2007 May 14, 15:03:05
Wow. So, the customer and a credit company demand refund due to unsolicited transaction via possibly stolen credit card, and this dude not only refuses with smart argument "Hahaha, it's MY money now, I can do whatever I want so suck it up!!!", but goes into lawsuit over it? The nerve this shitpiece has.

Also, all the donation semantics give lovely insight into possible disagreements between a silly paying simmer and a paysite:

Simmer: your stuff I bought doesn't work, gimme back my money.

Paysite: Stuff you bought? Dude, you bought nothing! You made a donation, as it clearly says on the front page right here. Donation means you don't gain anything in return, no product of good or other sort to be used to your benefit. So that we shipped some stuff to you was a totally goodwill gift of us, and it's, you know, RUDE to bitch about a gift Shame on you. *whistles, polishes their halo*
55  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / So...who runs this site? on: 2007 May 14, 11:26:14
Who's that mysterious Goopy the penultimately ugly Sim that everyone is talking about? Can't be the llama Goopy from uni, 'cause while he isn't particularly cute (as in Shodan's or Schuldig's sense of cyuuuuuteh), he's alright?
56  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Why does fun things have to turn nasty? on: 2007 May 11, 15:08:39
Quote from: "Samantha"

There is big difference between sharing and stealing... don't you think?

Sam, but there's no stealing about this site. If I'm not mistaken, it goes like this: either some benefactor purchases a paystuff, or site owners do that with donated money - i.e. there does happen a monetary transaction between a business and a customer. And then those kind people share the stuff they bought - and consequently, obtained legit rights to it - with the rest of us their buddies (yay! grouphug!).

It's so simple, but for some reason all trolls tend to overlook this fact. Maybe PMBD gotta concoct a FAQ for aspiring trolls and include this, so that they'd learn to be more creative next time?

Well, I can. Not that there's anything particularly interesting to see, though.
58  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Why does fun things have to turn nasty? on: 2007 May 11, 11:12:15
Grah, it's because of you restless botherers our trolls quit so fast - they're chased away by your constant attention!   They come here stressed already, strange environment, funny smells and all that, and then everyone rushes in to cuddle the thing instead of letting them lurk quietly under the bridge for some time, no wonder they freak out and leave.

As for sexy pirates, I can't see what's wrong with those that Sammy-troll posted. Very doable bunch of men...well, would be if they had one more dimension.

Nina, it looks like this troll followed you home, so do you know what it means? Yes - it is yours responsibility now to feed it and change its litterbox. I hope that teaches you, kid, that no matter how cute and fluffy trolls can be, they're not just about petting and cuddling, they need lots and lots of care.

And I v. much hope it doesn't have fleas.

Awwww, who's a cute fluffy troll? Please don't go away soon as others of your kin usually do, will you? It's a shame this forum's troll mascots don't last, really.
