Feverish, what is it with you and
writing
like
this?
It's fairly annoying, I have to say.
I do not
type
like
this.
I type like this.
I never noticed anything weird about the way I type before.
I'm sorry that it annoys you, but I don't find anything particularly unreasonable about my typing style.
I doubt I could change it even if I wanted to.
It helps me better understand what I'm trying to say.

Generally speaking, people don't do a full carriage return after each sentence. We're fond of paragraphs in English, and often in writing, single sentences with a line of their own are used to emphasize what's said in the sentence.
So it looks very weird to me, because of how it's out of line with nearly all of the prose I read.
Also, it wastes a bit of space on a higher resolution! ^_^

It's unusual but I don't find it annoying at all, personally. It's definitely more readable than when people go to the other extreme and put everything into one loooong paragraph. I'm probably all alone in this but when someone has a consistently unusual typing style (that is still readable) it gives the person more of an individual "voice."
I have to admit that once in a while I run across someone who types Like This, Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Freaking Word And I Find It Extremely Annoying.

True. *shrug*
I dunno, I guess I was trying to say that a lot of guys possess porn (
possibly
with underage girls among it) but it doesn't make them nasty dirty old men who'll rape the next 12 year old they see. I was basing my opinon on guys in the 25-35 age demographic whom I know/have dated; I didn't mean to accuse every guy of possessing porn.
And really, what's wrong with possessing (COMPLETELY ABOVE AGE) porn? Nothing to get defensive about.
*giggles*
Goofy/Axel?? Do I wanna know what that is?
Delphy was arrested in the United Kingdom. At the time of his arrest, underage for pornographic purposes was under 16. In the article, the term child is specifically used to describe the pornography. That is not 'older teenagers'. That's children.
Just correcting some of the misconceptions about British law that people seem to have.
The original thing seemed very tongue-in-cheek to me.

....The thing that gets me, is Delphy has a past sex offense, so if any of these teens reported him he would go straight to jail. But none of them have.... (yes court is a really really big thing and would be traumatizing for them, but if he is a paedophile, they could be saving future victims from him... i dunno)

There is no evidence that I'm aware of that he's been recently acting inappropriately with any underage girls. The "confession" can't be taken seriously, and even if it were true, it doesn't indicate someone underaged was involved.

But the term 'child pornography' would have meant, at the time, porn featuring anyone below 16, there weren't, and still aren't, separate charges for pre or post pubescent child pornography. So while it couldn't refer to older teenagers, it could still have referred to girls who were not physically children. Not that I'm saying you're not a sick bastard if you have pornography featuring fifteen year olds, just that because it says child, that doesn't actually mean that it must be pre or peri-pubescent girls.

I agree with you Red. I do think Delphy is creepy...but there needs to be some evidence if we are to take confessions like this one seriously :?

Devil's Advocate time here:
Why do we care?
Seriously...except for running a large, used-to-be-good site and being wise enough to fire LyricLee...what real influence does he have? He lost his best creators because of his practices, and he clearly doesn't care much for the community if he can try to pull scams, cause problems for creators, and not support the anti-paysite effort.
Delphy is QUICKLY becoming irrelevant. We're only KEEPING him relevant with 7-page threads about him.
And his sexual escapades are boring. Now if he was a bit more original, like OpenAssJack....

I care because I think people should know the facts before deciding to donate to his site. I was angry when I learned the type of person I had been sending money to. Since he doesn't make his income/expense records public, questions about his character become even more important.

I'm just going to repeat myself on this. If I pay someone to cut my hair, all I care about is if s/he gives me a good haircut or not. I don't need to, or want to, know about what this person uses his/her wage for, as long as s/he does a good job at cutting my hair. Same goes for Delphy. As long as MTS2 is up and running, I'm thankful for that. Doesn't mean I'll want to know anything about what he did in the past, because quite frankly it doesn't matter.
About the income... meh. It's volountary donations after all, it's not like he's forcing people to give him money. I agree that it'd be interesting to know about how he uses the money, but it won't really change much. If I give him a donation, it's because I think he runs a nice site. As long as the site is still up, I don't care about where the rest of the money goes (if there is a rest).

Eh, Delphy holds two very big sites in his hands, MtS2 and S2C, while hosting a number of others. I see that people are
donating to
paying *him* and not the site as a way to placate him and keep interest in upkeeping the sites for a game that he doesn't play.
It is a job to him basically and we as a community are paying him to only do that.

My personal opinion of Delphy is that he is a sick, pathetic bastard who should be taken out and shot at dawn.
And that's disregarding all insubstantiated rumours. He just gives me that creep-feeling.
I do, however, agree with Hecubus in that this thread gives him more importance than he's worth. He's just not worth all the ongoing speculation.
That doesn't mean I want him to make any money, same as I honestly wouldn't want any sick, twisted, scheming hairdresser to make any money off of me and my family and friends. In fact, I'd probably prefer that hairdresser to starve, but that's just me being petty again. It's just - all the info is there already. There's a multitude of discussion available for anyone's reading pleasure on this very board on his alleged paedophilia and his schemes to steal money from others etc. Heck, I read most of it before I even started posting here...
So, do a search for it if yous want, but I doubt a new discussion without anything new other than some button with a misspelled url will reach new conclusions.
Just my two cent.
