You're welcome.  and so you all know, since I feel kind of like I'm commandeering the look what I made thread, I'm going to put a thread called "Pirate Eyes" in the crew quarters once I get this finished.  Since this is the look what I made thread, and less the give me stuff to make thread.

Thanks, armywife.  I'm the only one with that color and type of eye (my mom had blue, dad is hazel, sister is brown cuz mom has a twin with brown eyes), even my kids are different, son is brown and daughter is blue.  The only one that is close is my niece but hers are one color of green, not mixed up like mine!

I'm having a hard time adapting the skintones to fit. I was hoping the Gimp masters (Chemistry Courtney and Skadi) might help me figure out how to match the colors better, blend or soften the edges. I don't use photoshop, only paint.net and gimp. I do find Gimp confusing, I'm looking at your tutorials and I don't see exactly what I'm looking for, techniques to soften edges.

The really hard thing about it all is that it can't be previewed as a project in bodyshop while you're editing. You have to load it, then use the swim/underwear mesh with the feet. To really check it, you'd have to fire up the game and check the sim showering.

It will either protect us all from cookiepirate's evil eye or else make us all really, really fertile. I'm not sure which, but I'm thinking about getting it tattooed on my butt just to be safe.

soften edges, like where feet meet leg?  I'll refer through my notes, confer with the other GIMP people, and try to pull up a quick tute for you... or at least some screenies that would be helpful.

Thanks Courtney. Marvine did upload the PSD files (which can be opened in Gimp, huzzah!) so that should make it easier. I'm going to go through your tutorials at Sublime Sims when I can to overcome my confusion with Gimp.

yeah, that and we have a GIMP workshop there, so you can ask gimp related questions and then lots of GIMP people can tell you GIMP-ey things... (GIMP.)  I was thinking about could you use the eyedropper tool to pick up colors and build some layers out to make it blend more smoothly?  does that make sense?
