Ok can all you smart pirates help me out? CC question

Ok I love downloading CC but I am kinda new to the whole thing and was wondering if you guys could hook me up.

I keep reading posts about quality and poly counts and all this stuff regarding CC so my question is this. What should you be looking for to ensure a quality download that will be easiest on your system and game?

I hope my question makes sense and thanks in advance for any insight you can give me. I know that some CC i have downloaded is more craptastic than other CC I have downloaded but what should I look for BEFORE downloading it?

Ok then, forget it, I know it's a lot to explain. I just was wondering if anyone had anything to say that would be helpful. But then again why would you want to be helpful to someone you don't even know? Thanks anyway though, I think I will go get drunk now.

eh, it's a rather difficult question, matey.
You are basically asking "what to download", right? Hmmm a balance between pretty stuff  x low poly is rare, and, depending on your taste, you make have to give up on certain CC (...or wait more 50 secs  for the game to load).

Some stuff I advise you NOT TO HAVE

ElvaSims stuff: Yeah. It's pretty, nice and fancy. But the high poly stuff makes the game SO LAGGY. Sad, indeed.

Dincer Stuff:  Expensive and High Poly. Avoid.

Butah stuff: Low poly, but at the time you clogged your downloads folder with her crap, you already got burnt retinas JUST FROM THE PREVIEW PICTURES. Have some self-respect, please.

Low Poly Creators

That's a list I'm slowly building myself.

I have found that boblishman  from MTS2 has some cute low poly objects

www.ogularama.com is very cute, too! I love their stuff. Plus it's also low poly.

I'm new at this whole "poly watch" thing, too. So, suggestions/tips shared are HEARTED.

When I finish scanning my DL folder I shall give more pointers.

There really is no need to whine about us not helping, especially in 25 minutes. Also, a quick search for "poly count" on this phorum would be a good place to start, but then again you said you came here from the BBS and it's a known fact that actually searching for an answer does not compute to anyone there.

http://www.bettersimsbureau.com  the Review section will tell you about various sites (I think they are all pay, and you can find most of them in the booty) and will hopefully give you an idea of the quality they offer.

Ya know, I knew high poly count was BAD, but as with my calories I've just never bothered to watch it. My game runs fine anyhoo. But thanks for the links, Pucci, that was enlightening

I wonder if 4ESF hav high polies,whatever I never really cared about those polies,althought I won't DL say,a fountain with 10000+ polies

Althought I'm quite a sim fashionwhore n chunked my DL with many designer clothing(only with the best textures)
