Dorquemada apparently you didn't take time to read Hecubus' post and my reply. I was saying it's dumb for people to ask when is straight pride day. And it is dumb no matter what anyone says. Why in the hell would someone ask that? I mean everyday is pretty much straight pride day.  It's dumb not to read posts clearly  :wink:

HAHA! Just directed a play called "Hysteria" that involved Freud and Penis Envy. It was a great laugh and my female actress seemed to really enjoy the Penis Envy speech XD

I'm a bi curious person myself (I'm female by the way), and have nothing against anyone who has different sexuality. I just get a little annoyed when people shove it in my face, trying to make out they're all special because they're gay/lesbian.

Tramen, I agree...being "in your face" about ANYTHING...sexuality, religion, race, smoking, politics, etc. is just obnoxious.

And yeah..every single group has their evangelists. I neve saw myself that way...I was always the chick who didn't "look" gay, so I guess my appearance disarmed them enough to listen to me (although speaking intelligently probably helped too).

To be honest, by the time I was involved in gay pride days in North Carolina, most of the heat was off. We had very few protesters (our most famous was a guy in the mountains who held up a sign saying 'fagits go hom" (sic). Yeah...that picture was plastered on every newspaper in the region. At that point, gay pride days were largely big ol' street parties. Now, of course, there is a new focus...Americans are fighting the gay marriage issue, so there's something at stake again.

Oh, and we don't think you're stupid because you don't know what's happening here (at least I don't). I hope that I'm one of the Americans that helps rehabilitate our awful reputation. If I make statements that make assumptions about knowledge of things Americans, correct me. Ask for explanation. It's the only way we learn.

Eddy Izzard.. Is he that funny British guy? I watched a show with him once, afair it was from USA and he had quite some fun bashing them, and afair it was very funny to watch but I kept thinking "Gods, how can he stand on those heels for 1½ hours without walking like a cripple!?"  :lol:

Yeck. Sticklegs. I swear, if I had legs like that, instead of my tree-trunk-like legs, I'd collapse from the weight of my armour. Of course, wearing 80 pounds of hardware all the time is a great way to build up your leg muscles right there.
