The second one is a little different though, theirs is longer bangs with longer hair. Their second one is free for the moment but the bun is pay which is dumb because it's just the maid without the hat. Someone at MATY also did it.

Posting to share the maid hair with the frilly cap removed.  The hair works quite well as an updo on its own, with the cap taken off.  I made this a while ago, but was mostly inspired to share it after seeing that the same hairstyle (sans cap) is being offered at TSR as a pay item.  This is to spite them for asking people to subscribe to buy an in-game, EA hairstyle that they haven't made (seriously, it takes a minute to remove the cap and anyone with the tools can do it).

rum_nate, there's a small problem with the spanish tennis shoes you linked, problems only arise for the female sims:

With a full bottom the clipping is bearable, but with anything shorter the legs are broken. Not such a big problem, but female townies could be generated with these and short bottoms and we'ld need to "dresser" them. I'm keeping them though. Why creators only make new tennis shoes for males but NONE for females?!

I went and read the comments for the pay edited maid's hair, and I love this comment:

This is a hair that comes with the game - the maid hair, with the frilly cap removed.  I hope you aren't suggesting you meshed this...?

Tweiland, the Workshop needs to be developed a bit more before we will be able to import complete new meshes. In the mean time we'll do the most we can do with the material we have, which means modifying existing hairmeshes. Exactly the same as happened it the early period of hairmeshing for Sims 2.

ETA: Inge has made 3 living chairs act like dining chairs, that way you can use them with the chess table.

And Syera on BogSims Institute has made, get this, necklaces. Yes, necklaces that are separate from clothing. What it is a combo necklace and bracelet cloned from a glove, so you can use a watch to hide the bracelet if you don't want it. They are pretty much 2-D like all the necklaces that are on clothing.

Edit 2: Has anyone seen theses. Snaitf made buyable rock, seed, insect, and fish spawners. You place them on your sim's home lot and it spawns things depending on what one(s) you put in. There are 2 draw backs though, they are invisible and underground, so if you want to get rid of them you will have one hell of a time finding them. There are also a lot of objects to go with these, so they kinda clutter up the rock category.

I haven't seen this get any attention anywhere and I am kinda surprised.  We keep talking  about the progress that is being made in developing for Sims 3 but no one is talking bout the fact that Wes put up the first independent working in game OBJECT Friday evening!

I totally saw that when I was getting the links to the spawners I posted above, and it didn't click it was a new object. And I have seen that like 3 times, and people all over the place talking about the first independent working in game object, and I couldn't find it. I really need more sleep, and stop reading stuff in the late night/early morning.  

But anyway it is great we have gotten to this point just 53 days after the game came out. I really can't wait to see the stuff people make new and convert once all the tools are up and working. And it is so great we won't have to worry about getting the millions of recolors of the objects we end up downloading.
