THANKS THIS IS GREAT

My next project should be a mod that makes the buffet table less frickin' attractive. that's how they got so fat. lol. The night before the first day of school, their dad had a fundraiser, and even though their hunger was full, sure enough, every time they finished a meal, they went back for a new plate.
but I'm getting off topic.

I've not had any issues with the school, so all is good  Smiley.

I've never used the buffet table yet, so I'm not sure how it works. I've only just managed to get the game to stop crashing to desktop after ten minutes of play, so I'm still figuring things out lol.

Well, that's good. I'm always kinda worried that something I was too ... modding illiterate? to catch would come up and bite me in the butt.

Gawl. When I first got the game it kept crashing too. then it worked for a while, then started crashing right after the load screen. Feh. the game is finicky.

Wow, mustluvcatz, I like the blue tones!

I haven't uploaded these anywhere yet but I recolored the sofas from Moune's new set too
(if you want to see the pic, go backk to original post, please)

The pillow textures are vintage 1950s hankies by Tammis Keefe (they look more like linen cocktail napkins to me but whatever, the site I ganked them from said hankies) and the sofa textures are Amethystfenix' linen textures she shares at Laden Swallow. I suck at lighting a room for pictures but the textures do look linen-y in game.

Oh, how great! You are using those textures! Let me know when you put this lovely set up for download, so I can snag it! Then I won't have to do the sofa in (now 64) colors myself  Grin I almost forgot, I'm amythestfenix, different name here- as you can see by the post count, I'm really just a lurker, returning now to lurking.

Oooh, this is excellent! Mustluvcatz and Samantha, those are beautiful recolors you both did.

Thank you!

Moune's Angkor Living in 3 more colors. This set lends itself SO well to odd textures. (The black is really pretty closer up- it looks like crushed velvet or something like that.) The white IS textured- you just can't tell in this pic. Shown with all the different pillow colors just because.  Wink

I (Like everyone else) love buggybooz's Kitchen Basic set fro TS2, so I thought I'd extract the textures (With Buggy's permission of course) and make them into Patterns for the Sims 3.

They work great on furniture and stuff - especially kitchens, but they don't look too great on walls and floors... In order to make them work with the Kitchen sets ingame I had to change the seams to break on the edges as opposed to total seamlessness. If anyone wants them for walls and floors I'll gladly make another one.

I used the socialite mirror as starting point for this bed and it draws it's texture from that mesh. I think you need Apartment Life. The end table was tougher to do than the bed because of the mapping...it shows.

SocialiteLightSleeper Set

Another bed that draws it's texture from the Zen Meditation Sleeper.

HardDaysNight Bed

The sofa set from a few pages back.

Originally these meshes were linked to the maxis Sofa of Substance, but that wasn't working out too well. I divorced them from that mesh and then linked the loveseat and armchair to the sofa. They may retain their original file names, but thanks to dstar, Qing and badcyn they now have different in-game names (heeheehee). I included some recolors.

SofaofSubstanceSquared v2 Meshes

If you have any problems then bring them up with Paden. I dare you.

Ooohh Snarky these are great. I have been looking for non-TSR Socialite add-ons. Mutske's are okay but it means immersing myself in that pool of slime known as TSR even if I nab em at the Booty. Yours are far better. So shiny, so gold

Ooooh, Snarky. Those sofas are perfect! Question: I don't need any special EPs or SPs to have them, right? That would make me Cry.

Snarky, I simply love all the stuff you make, but sadly my downloads folder is stuffed to capacity.
Literally, it's too full. My game refuses to load and it gets stuck or times out or something. It just refuses to deal with it. So I had to take a whole bunch of stuff out to get my game to load, and it still took forever.

I'm such a download whore, my computer hates me. I think I may have a serious problem. Is 12.5 GB's of custom content too much?  Shocked

Well, that is impressive! I have 38,565 files and 1,832 folders in my downloads folder and still it is only 6.86 GB! 12.5 is... whoa. How do you navigate through it all in-game? I mean, when you can get into your game.

I feel like such a wimp with only 15,000 pkg files and 60 sub-folders. I have been remarkably restrained apparently. I have even been good for TS3- while Rum Nate and Snarky are talking about having these huge package folders for TS3 - I have less then 100 files, and less than 25 in TS3 Packs. I'm such a wimp.

Paperbeth, aren't you using the compressoriser thing?
IIRC I have more or less 10gigs, they got shrunked to around 6Go with the help of that tool. But it was still a mess to find something Sad Around 20k files and 7 minutes to load the game.

New Sims 3 lot I am posting tomorrow on Sailfinsims. I saw this lot and it was just screaming for a Rustic Log Cabin type home with lots of trees, a patio, and pool and playground for the kids. It has 1.5 bathrooms, an eat in kitchen, formal dining area, living room, 3 bedrooms, a pool, patio, playground and room for a garden and pond. The CC is by Sixty-Ten, All About Style, HystericalParoxysym, LetheS, SimsArtGallery, Kalypso at GOS, and the Hewnsman Set from the Sims Store (lights only).
