Cheerleading starts very early with some of these kids, sadly. I suppose on one hand, it's as good exercise as gymnastics or baseball or whatever, but I  object to the way these little girls are being dressed up like adults, like those beauty pageants. <sigh>

I can understand a little girl PLAYING with her mom's makeup and high heels at home, but when you take it to the level of beauty pageants and the like now a days it makes me sick.

Now, I am not a prude. But I know if a kid pulled me by the sweater and said "Auntie Dee, there's a picture of a woman with a large bum on the internet and I want to know if she's sick, because she's not fat all over, just her butt. And she's hardly wearing any clothes" I would freak out. Because it would be THE most irresponsible thing I could do, leave the kid unattentended on the computer. There is NO WAY IN HELL, I would do that , much let them go to TSR, not only does it have scary ads ("When will you DIE?" is the one currently on loop when I go there), but also because of the documented adult content. And wouldn't a 9 year old be tempted to download BUNTAH!!!!? Must.Not.Let.Her.Touch.My.Harddrive.
Why would they? I don't know, don't kids like crap? And cereal? I mean... for godsake...whenever any kids visit my house. Computer is OFF LIMITS. I have a large selection of kids comics and movies for them instead! By god!

I agree with you Dee and I wouldn't let any children in my house near TSR either.  I don't ever see the ads because of adblocker on Firefox thank goodness but just from seeing what has been shown on this thread I wouldn't want any kids just casually browsing the site.  It makes me wonder what would be found if you really dug deep at the official site exchange or is that policed better?

Thanks,my knowledge in Cheerleaderdom is fairly limited and based off of crappy movies like Bring It On. The beauty pageant thing scares me, during one of my Forensic Science classes last year we did a whole case study thing on the whole Jon-Benet mess.

I always get anxious when kidlets enter my house. I have these old expensive models in a display case in the living room, and they ALWAYS make a bee-line for the damn things. Somehow they manage to overcome the locks and cover them with disgusting chocolate fingerprints. I need to get around to writing up some forms that people must submit 3 months prior to a visitation.

I just don't know what to say. Family friendly, my uptight prudish ass! They are the worst type of hypocrites. The adult stuff is bad enough, but their pervy kid stuff is utterly repulsive. Maybe we should let EA know that their good buddies seem to be into some nasty stuff. 

What makes it so much worse is that they sell themselves as so wholesome. All the free adult sims sites I know of warn you what they're about.

The BBS does try to keep that stuff out, you can sometimes find it, but they really want to keep their teen rating.

Are those porn pics real?  I mean, are they really on TSR?   I'd guess they're not illegal in Sweden, but they're wildly inappropriate for a pg-13 site.

That's it, I'm going to contact the one person I'm still in touch with over there and raise hell. I no longer care if I blow my cover.  (We've been on good terms for years). Even if you teach your kids about internet security, and supervise their browsing, you can't watch them every minute.  I have an almost 12 year old who likes to look at TSR, and until now I presumed it was relatively ok.  No more.  This is irresponsible and sick.

You know, even IF Thomass and crew are mostly in parts of Europe that allows this/thinks it's ok for kids, TSR is an INTERNATIONAL site!! They ought to understand there are certain things that are appropriate for kids as far as other countries are concerned and be sensitive to that.

Just because YOUR kids in YOUR country can walk into the candy store and buy porn, DOES NOT mean my child is allowed to!!!

I really do hope TSR reads theses posts, maybe they'll do something about it, before they end up on Dateline (as someone previously suggested).

Now, I am far from prudish. However, if I had children I would not want them finding and downloading the stuff that I've seen here. I know that America has a big stick shoved up its ass when it comes to sexuality, but come on! You can't claim to be child-friendly (or even PG-13) and allow content like that!

They are not misunderstanding cultural differences here. They are promoting themselves as family friendly and they are trying hard to convince everyone that MTS2 is full of inappropriate content. It's all about the hypocrisy.

I can promise you, europeans are not excatly known for beeing very friendly to this kind of stuff for kids, even if Thomass does not care what people are downloading to their sims. It is not common in Europe to allow their children walking into any store buying PORN! I don't even know anyone who would allow them buying Hugh Hefner Barbie bunny dolls!
