You know, I think the real problem with Britney isn't that she has actually grown up and is doing more mature things with her career, but that she tries to still hold on to the wholesome image.

After all, there are plenty of males who start of career with a wholesome image at Disney, [or just in general really] but no one calls them whores when they depart from it.  Guess its a pet peeve that women are expected to be freaking madonnas [not the performer] while guys can play roles like Snake Pliskin, Caligula, or whatever the role in Equis is that Daniel Radcliffe played recently [I think it was].

Several talented females had their careers -ruined- because they didn't want to be little girls anymore, or even because they weren't to begin with [ Pat Benatar comes to mind]

So, whatever else is said about Britney, or of Chaz' crappy versions of her, calling her a whore for not remaining a pure little girl is uncalled for - there are other things to call her and other like it.

That's why I put "whore" in quotations. American society in particular has the whole virgin/whore dichotomy that's really unhealthy and insidious. There's a good article about Disney's perpetuation of that idea here. The thing is, with T$R's fairly puritanical attitude towards adult content, I can't imagine that Britney's Circus tour outfits could be considered PG-13. Her get-ups are meant to be titillating. I kinda like 'em; they remind me of cabaret and old-timey freakshows. Also, if kids are buying her CDs and going to her concerts, they are exposed to all this crap already. I just used the word "whore" because the cute and not-at-all provocative undies at MTS2 were vilified as something hookers would wear, but Britney Spears in an outfit that is intentionally reminiscent of bondage-wear is A-OK for the kidlets.

Furthermore if you go swimming with that type of bra you're sure to loose it in the water. So the shoes are here to make a diversion... See, every other sim will be pointing out at her feets and laugh at the wet shoes and won't even notice she lost the upper part of her swimming suit. Hmmm that's so clever *ironic*

Maybe the bikini / heels outfit is for a beauty pageant?  They all prance around in swimsuits and heels, although I think they have height limits on the heels now.  Probably an MTV pageant, not Miss America, they wouldn't allow peek-a-boob tops.
