I'm a Mum, but I just know to keep my kids the hell away from those sorts of people - away from chatrooms, not have the pc where I can't see them and give them good warning.  The women at n99 are also mothers concerned for their kids, and they dealt with it nicely.

It has nothing to do with being a Mum - if Delphy were the only guaranteed pervert on the net, this exposure might mean something - but come on - perverts are absolutely everywhere.

Right, that's about the point they completely lost me, by the time I hit the serious "cult" discussion I was so astounded by the ignorance I could barely finish it.

Delphy being a danger to minors is not in the same ball park as him supposidly making a living off the sims.  It makes it look like they just want to drag him through the mud in any way possible (which is probably true) and not deal with the so-called urgent issue of him being a threat to the adolescents on his board.   In short, it makes them look just as apathetic as we are towards his questionable behavior, even moreso because they apparently have proof of it, or in the very least word from victims that we are not privy to.  

If they really wanted to deal with Delphy the sims community is not the proper outlet, they know that and they don't care.  It's about winning an audience, it's about revenge, it's about wanting to burn MTS2 to the ground.  It's not about protection or bringing anyone to justice, if there is indeed need for that.

This is preciously how I feel. Whatever his past may be it is his business, noone elses. He paid his debt to society years ago so this "stunt" is nothing more than some groupies of a certain member of the community who are out for blood. I'm coming out of lurking to give you guys a heads-up:

I just went onto S2C into the Sims 2 Discussion area, and down the bottom where it states the mods for that part of the forum are, Hysterical Paryoxysm and discordkitty have been 'promoted' to admins.  I checked out Delphy's user, and he's just a regular user now.  I suppose all this dramas caused him to demote himself, or perhaps hes taking a break.

I checked MTS2, and he's still an admin, so perhaps its just S2C he's retiring from.  It's sad, really.  Stuff he did in his past shouldn't affect those two sites.

Thought you might like to know, and I haven't seen it posted here.

I never said all moms were like this.  Just that I had seen some become very paranoid in similar situations.
