RedLove, you did a great job pulling those sims together. Creating unique and interesting sims has to be my LEAST favorite aspect of the game, so I respect those who can do it with style.

Please do, Red, I'd like to have them! Whenever I make sims, they tend to look all the same unless I'm trying to make one of myself and then it actually turns out pretty, nothing like me! Otherwise, I may as well be making them with a cookie cutter. And, joy of joys, I got Seasons for my anniversary present! I'm thinking of installing tonight, but what all am I gonna need for patches? How many of the fuckers are there? Am I going to like this game? I have to yank of of my cc and start over and am I rambling yet?

Paden, I think you will love Seasons.  It is my fav EP.  I like the snow and the rain.  It added more realism to the game.  Installing it and getting all the hacks etc., sucks, but once you get through that, I am sure you will like it.

I'm not really sure if I extracted them right (using Sims2CI) so if you can't get just them then

Get the whole lot and delete what you don't want(i.e. the waterfall and rocks)

Paden I wouldn't know I haven't really "played" seasons. I just make houses and sims. I'll probably end up playing Bon Voyage for the first few weeks like I did with Seasons. The first few weeks I played though one of my least favorite things was the snow.

Seasons completely changes the game. If I could only have one EP, it'd be that one. As for patches...there were three versions. The first fixed just a couple issues and claimed to fix another. The second borked more than it fixed. The third fixed most of the issues, but coat use is still a bit wonky. You'll only have to patch once,  though. Jerk.

If you have LotFullOfSims or Multiple Pollination Tech's from MTS2 (the first by Jordi...the second I can't recall) you'll need to redownload after patching. Or you could be smart and take hacks out while patching. Apparently I'm an idiot.

I'm kind of weird in that I take out my download folder before I install a new EP, then I start over fresh. That way nothing is outdated and all of that happy fun shit. I always start with build objects, then body shop stuff. And defrag before and after the installation. I'm not going to do a full uninstall and then reinstall everything, not unless I really have to, but its what I normally do when I get a new EP, I just don't feel like it tonight. That, and I'm not sure where all of my damn disks went off to... You know that sister and nephew I've mentioned as being assholes? We tend to share program disks. Well, the nephew might have hold of Nightlife, but I'm not sure. If he doesn't, maybe I'll reinstall the whole shit load, but I doubt it. See what kind of a family I've got for the most part? I help them with myriad things and they use me for toilet paper... Why is the rum ALWAYS gone?

Ooh, Paden - check your downloads for a buyable CAS backdrop by Targa at MST2; it wasn't updated for Seasons and can cause jump bug problems with some of the Seasons water feature deco things.  If you have it, it comes in 2 colors; Clean Installer will show you one highlighted red, that's the one you need to ditch.

Other than that, I had no problems at all with any downloads.

Seasons is cool.  Snow makes my vid card zap out, but the rainstorms I could watch for hours.  I think they did the weather up right.
