Luina Sims has two really nice objects up. The cushions on the sofa look great in-game.

Those stairs look amazing as well!

is low poly, and it WORKS!!!! The storage compartments are usable with OMSPs, and the stairs seem to remain functional with a fair amount of stuff encroaching on the stair treads, as well. There are 10 OMSPs included, several of which are practically the same height as one another, but each one does match up with a specific plane of the object.
It's made of BOXES. It damn well BETTER be low-poly.

I like this:

LOW POLY is becoming a battlecry that doesn't mean what it used to.  I'm always amused when I see someone posting boxes and other totally square things and bragging about the low poly count.

Those stairs are made of awesome, but the poly count doesn't figure into the awesomeness of it.   It's like the package of chocolate chip cookies I bought for my great niece that said in proud letters on the front, "CONTAINS REAL CHOCOLATE CHIPS!"  Considering that they were rather expensive, 100% "natural" chocolate chip cookies, (not chocolate flavored cookies)  the fact that they contained chocolate chips was pretty underwhelming.

I saw that table set too. It's quite pretty. I always think I'll start a medieval theme and all I do is download a bunch of junk and clog my downloads folder. But I have the compressorizer now and 3 more gb of memory so maybe I can get away with it.

Those stairs have me in jawdrop mode.  They're really amazing!  I wish I was that good at arranging things in real life.

Me too!   of course,  I have savages for in laws so  can't have anything breakable around anyways. My sims homes are so pretty compared to my own :{

I go for low poly still, but more from a desire for minimal poly for the item - I've done some high poly stuff, but its still the minimum needed for the look I want.

Exactly.  There is no need for high poly boxes.   Again, I adore those stairs.  They are well done and well textured.  But just looking at the shape tells me it should be low poly.

EDIT TO ADD:

Train station!

They're special, faffy artiste boxes. If my artistic vision/muse had required it, be assured that I would not hesitate to divide those faces into a glorious, fractalized mosaic of polylicious redundancy.

Also, about the it WORKS! part: If you don't have AL, the first version uploaded may cause problems; I had only one report of a possible issue, so I'm not sure it was actually the stairs causing the problem. In any case, I've redone the file so it is now really and truly basegame compatible.

Even though there is a staircase OMSP already available, these stairs don't match the existing stair profile at every tread, so I made my own set. The gargantuan OMSP set by Silent Lucidity at MTS2 probably also would fit most if not all of the stairs for people who have the ability to shift them with AL. I have way too many OMSPs myself, but I also have many surface objects that still don't have an appropriate OMSP, so I just want to be sure that everything I make that might require one, has one.

Oh, and thank you for the nice comments in this thread Smiley  I thought they turned out pretty cool myself.

I love those posters. I actually have the first one, "Chat Noir" in RL. There's a whole series of those. I found them somewhere (probably MTS2) for my sims.
