Don't know if anyone is interested in this, but Dr. Pixel made a fern that is actually a fire alarm. I use it for my historical houses, as nothing says "modern" like that stupid light on the maxis one. It's on the dreaded TSR.

Thanks for the offer, maybe someone will use them, but we try to link to free stuff around here. From free sites. Not washed-up-creepy-former-FA-vomit.

It could be worth the time it takes to see if he's posted them up at MTS 2, though. Hasn't the man gone free?

True. I'll stop with the Dr. Pixel-hate. I really just irrationally hate him. I have no idea why.

Not for lack of trying, I'm sure. Doesn't it take forever and a day for mts2 to approve stuff? Anva's account hadn't been updated in the better portion of a year but she'd be trying to get new eyeshadows approved, I think. (uploaded them to GOS instead).

Why am I taking devil's advocate for a tsr lackey?

Fair enough, but isn't the file itself free? I admire Pixel though, since he's gone free he's released a great deal of very high quality vintage cars. I respect him too for his jewerly meshes- as he was one of the first to really get jewerly into the game, which is progressive- to say the least. This community needs more progressive creators- rather that twits like Lianna, Anna Marie (Are they the same person?!) and garbage from the creators of Simchic.

To people asking about burglar/fire alarms that match their decor: I strongly recommend the invisible burglar alarm and invisible smoke alarm at MTS2. They are made by Pfish, who, somewhat mystifyingly, I admit, specialises in making things invisible.

Now I'm reminded that I need to eventually make that invisible bike.

I have a hanging plant alarm one that is NOT one of his but I have no idea were it came from. I have had it for a while it must of came from a house I downloaded way back when. I'll take another look...maybe the creators name is on it some weres.

And yes..uploading to MTS2 can take a while but that is not why I stopped uploading my lots there. I felt bad because I couldn't always remember who made what CC I used in my house to give them proper credit.

Free on T$R has two problems - 1) that the free files don't always stay free, and 2) only exist to lure users into paying for a sub. Lining to stuff in a positive light from T$R is generally frowned upon, and will get you yelled at.

If you stick to minimal CC, its easier to track down - and a good number of creators will show up in the clean installer, which also helps.  And if the CC is on MTS2, it will show up for you automagically.
