Yep the thumb for furniture is in the thumb png in the package.   Patterns seem to only use the icon png in the package when it is installed via the launcher and a sims3pack.  I took a pack made from the TSR tool and extracted and placed in my game.  It has the icon with the TSR thingy in the package, but doesn't show in game.  If I install that same sims3pack with the launcher, then the pattern icon from the package is used and I see the custom icon.

It seems the launcher is required to get that custom icon to show.  I may still be doing something wrong but I also deleted my thumbs after fiddling with a package, I am going to look at a few more there has got to be a way to make the game read the icon in the package.

Oops, misunderstanding alert!
Nope, nope scrappysim I meant that it's easily doable even with crappy windows paint in 30 sec since the packeges thumbnails is a mere PNG: paste the custom logo you want on your thumbnail, save PNG and import it in your package. No need for any other tool for that. But it would be cool if Postal had an automated process for doing that to put on the CC you want.

However bodyshop/CAS thumbnails retain their thumbnail! The hairs packages from Einfach site have a custom CAS thumbnails. Unless it's a different kind of thumbnails, I think there's something to investigate there

EDIT: come to think of it, T$R clothes extracted to packages don't have any custom logo... But then how can Einfach do that?

I saw a similar pair of armchairs in a magazine and thought they would translate well into the game.

They draw their texture from the KARLSTAD armchair.

Snarky, the wedge chairs do look nifty.   How are they with sims in them?  Can sims wave their arms while talking, as they are wont to do, without the chair eating their arms?  If so, I must have them!
