New email from WFS (wood for sims)

we have more than 8000 members of the free WoodClub, we have the highest visitor counts ever, but the support for WfS is lower than ever, just for some single users the objects are worth for a small amount. Perhaps because the real life becomes harder, perhaps because I lost the right feeling for your wishes, perhaps because the bad dollar exchange rate – but I have to accept it.
Therefore at the moment two steps: I have reduced the prices for the WoodClub membership and I removed the possibility to sign up for more than
2 month, because I'm not sure if I will be able to keep the site alive for a longer time, sorry. Many thanks for your understanding.

May not be open for more than 2 months? Is it a case that she can't keep feeding her starvin' chilluns or is it bandwidth?

Either way we may be seeing a killmark soon...

I feel kinda bad for her, WFS things are high quality and I like them a lot.

At least she is informing people that she might be closing in a few months, so she's not trying to scam anyone.

There's a post in that thread by Duckie regarding another email where she DOES blame us.

Shame on you all!  Don't you know that life is hard for some people?  Our lives are full of energy and wealth we forgot there a few people out there that experience hardships we ourselves do not endure.  Take pity on this woman and don't think twice about handing her your money, as you are probably just rolling around it in anyway.  Be thankful that you go out to work everyday so you can rake in the cash while all this poor woman can do is sit at home, broke with only her hobby to console her.

With every email she sends out, my rage burns even brighter.  It's atrocious a grown woman is acting like this.. spamming this huge guilt trip to pay for her hobby.  This is not new.  How many times has she sent similar emails like this one?  People should start reporting her emails as a phishing scam because that is exactly what it is.

What she means is, "8,000 of you were gullible enough to give me your email address so I can spam you relentlessly about not giving me money.  Where is my money for these gifts I'm making you pay for?  Isn't my lowered-but-still-overpriced-items-because-you-shouldn't-be-paying-for-them-anyway objects good enough for you?  I'm going to take all my toys home and go home if you don't pay!!  WHERE IS MY MONEY, BITCHES?!"

Perversely, I'd rather have her keep enough paying customers to stay an independent pay site  than go over to TSR. Of course the best thing would be if she went free, but she's been in this game a long time.  The bigger TSR gets, the harder it will be for EA to shut them down. They're already in bed together, although it's hard to tell who's on top. :roll:
