Why would TSR need a spy? Anyone can come here and read pretty much everything that goes on here. There are no behind-the-scenes machinations going on like over there.

Atwa... needs to just stfu and go away. I'm already tired of her, and I've never had to deal with her personally. Between her swelled head from her undeserved FA status and the power trip from being an "Artist Manager", I'd love someone to just run her over with a truck. All that nonsense about Sue and how she doesn't know what she's doing is just stupid. It's inconceivable to me that someone as shallow, snotty and untalented as Atwa could even be in the same category as CycloneSue anyway.

The person who donated for Carla Niven is not an idiot. I suspect they merely wanted to see the files in action to judge for themselves. What they want to do with their money is their own business, and if they want to use it on a crap paysite out of curiosity, it doesn't make them an idiot.

Because OHJ is a male hooker who leaches off his mommy and uses the money from his paysite to buy things like dirty jockstraps. He isn't like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, if he was just a working girl trying to make ends meet or get evicted, then perhaps we would feel a bit more compassion and hope for him to marry Richard Gere.

Instead he just gets out of bed, washes his butt, gets some designer underwear in lieu of cash, and goes home to where his mom probably has dinner waiting. He even complains that she asked for some of the money from his site, which he needs to spend on himself and not on helping to pay for groceries or anything as silly as that.

Yes, okay. We all agree that OHJ is most likely not going to start molesting any children any time soon (or ever, I hope!). Even Paden recognizes the fact that she kind of freaked out a bit. It's understandable, she most likely associates this kind of behaviour with the very terrible thing that happened to her and her children and was very upset.

So to recap: OHJ is not (as far as we know ) any kind of child predator, just a loose man with questionable personal habits who has sex with fat guys for money. Lets keep making fun of him for the perverted stuff he does, it's more fun.

Paden has appologized for overreacting. Other people have said far stupider things on this site, so lets not keep berating her over it. Or if you guys want, we can start a "stupid things people say" thread, and we can sift through all the threads and find all the stupid posts by everyone to laugh at. Hey, that sounds kinda fun too...

I haven't seen any quality difference in YAFSS, really. No pixel artifacts or weird inclusions in the images or anything like that, it saves a high quality jpg. I've used the resulting screenshots in contests and as preview pics for my own site, and I wouldn't settle for bad quality there.

*edit* Also, another reason I prefer YAFSS is because it is extremely lightweight and uses almost no resources. It doesn't cause any lag at all in any game or app I've used it with. The only downside is that if you press printscreen too rapidly in succession, it sometimes misses a shot. If you wait a second or two between captures it doesn't have that problem though.

Obviously we should hold free CC creators on a pedestal and do whatever they ask because they have the decency to not charge us! I am deliriously misguided, thinking that credit and a link could ever be good enough.

Also, how am I mistreating anyone? By uploading a mesh to my site with full credit and links and cookies (okay, the cookies part is a lie)? I am not mistreating anyone. How can you justify violating the TOS of pay sites to redistribute their work by pointing at the EULA, then wave the TOS of free creators (I said NO FAT SIMS, DAMNIT) like they are sacrosanct? Please. Yes, I love and cherish our free creators, but I also love and cherish the downloaders in the community, and they seem to hate it when they have to hunt for meshes.

Don't even try to lay this one on me. I uploaded one mesh to my site because I used it for a recolour, and I explained why I did it and that yes, it was a violation of her TOS but that I can't play favourites. I have never bashed her, called her creations bad, criticized her unfairly, or been otherwise disrespectful of her personally. If anything, I've been on the receiving end of crap from people who are sticking up for her and her TOS. (Sorry, but I'm sticking to my guns on this one. Either everything is owned by EA and we can share as we see fit, or it isn't and we should not share even the pay stuff. You guys can't have it both ways. Posting meshes is not the end of the world, or attacking free creators, it's common sense.)

If HP needs a break, then she deserves one. MTS2 is a great resource, but it also is a haven for some of the most childish and spoiled people outside of the BBS. If she is frazzled or fried, then take the time off. I've had to do it myself, and I'm nowhere near as in-demand as HP.

YAFSS does the same thing, just saves jpgs every time you hit the print screen button. Saves me ages every time I want to take screenshots or participate in a contest.

Oh and Flashgot is a godsend when you want to download everything in one go. I've used it when sussi's site and a few others went down just to make sure I had everything, and it's way faster. It would be perfect for the booty, come to think of it. It is a plugin for firefox, and I think there is a stand alone version for explorer too.

Yeah, I think thats the fundamental difference between pay and free site donations. If people force us to pay for their stuff, then we expect that the items we receive be of decently good quality and that they keep their shit together enough to keep their site open. By "decently good quality"' I of course mean NO GODDAMNED HOLES IN THE GODDAMNED NECK! Seriously, how hard is it for these people to snap together a few vertices? They seem to be meshing hairstyles of great intricacy, but a few unjoined vertices outsmart them. Bleh.

If, on the other hand, a site is free and accepts donations, then I don't bitch. If their stuff is of bad quality, I look at it, chuck it, and don't donate. Simple as that. If it is pretty good and I feel like helping out, then great. I would like to think most of that money goes to fund the site, but if they are buying catfood or getting their nails done, I don't really care. If the site goes down after I've donated due to "lack of funds", I'd probably be pretty suspicious and poke around at it, but as long as everything seems kosher, no big deal.

Poor Pete Burns. He used to be quite attractive, if a bit effeminate, in the 80s. You know, when Dead or Alive was actually popular.... sort of. I thought he was hot anyway.
