I suspect the site was set up as a kind of Post Secret rip off. Post secret is a site where people make postcards with their secret on them and physically mail them to the person running the site. Since it isn't populated solely by teenage girls, the secrets are sometimes touching, other times revolting, but always eye opening.

There are a few things about that post that make me a little distrustful of the whole thing. One, that it was posted in a place where conceivably, any number of sims fans could find it, since the demographic is about right. Two, the details on it are very close to things that were known to have been said in a chat room (it sounds like as a joke, since other people were asking for boob and panty shots too), and where anyone, say a former moderator who has been pissed off by Delphy, could have been present to see it. Something like that seems to give it some verisimilitude, like when Red said she thought she knew who it was, though it could be based solely on what another person observed in a chatroom. Third, the link on the bottom seems a little bit too "in your face" about the whole thing. And finally, that 'at least I got to keep the webcam lol' statement is a little too flippant for someone who claims to have been victimized by a sexual predator.

Seems like phony propaganda to me. If this stuff really was happening to more than one girl, I would certainly hope that at least one of them would say something to someone, especially since Delphy really isn't Mr Popularity everywhere out there (or say...here).  I can understand not wanting everyone to know, but no one wants this kind of stuff happening to girls in this community.

That's precisely my point of view. While a sexual predator is likely to strike again, I don't really think starting a lynch mob over unsubstantiated claims are wise either. If this is true, I would hope that this girl would come forward to the authorities. I don't know what kind of international law there is on the books for this kind of thing, but I'm thinking that with proper proof something like this would at the very least would get put on a watch list or something.

In the meantime, sans any proof of a crime, I can't really justify attacking Delphy. I say hold off until someone can post real evidence. (And if this does happen to be true, then burninate the whole fucking place down)

What a bunch of shit this is. I'm sorry, I left a polite note in her guestbook expressing my displeasure and dismay at her turning her "free sets" into FA fodder, but after her stupid nasty note at SFV, I have to say she is being utterly stupid as well. Does she even comprehend what high poly is? That isn't why I am pissed off at her though. She put her formerly FREE sets on TSR to keep them free... or so she stated. She wanted to preserve bandwidth. Whatever, that would have been eye-rollingly dumb but not worthy of the utter contempt that she now deserves. Nouk, I like it. It doesn't scream "emo" to me, in fact it reminds me more of the "skater" style that was popular way back in the days when I was a highschool girl. Those boys liked to have long hair in front and/or on top, then very short or shaved on the sides and back. Weird when I try to explain it, but it looked like that when it was down. IMHO, we need more male hair that doesn't all look exactly the same.

Berg, the mesh is not at all bad for your first one. It looks a little cartoony, especially the narrowness of the curl where it comes down from the back of the neck. The texture definitely could use some work, personally I'd do it so that it looked a little more teased and curled upward, instead of straight lines.

If you ever want to be really disturbed, just go to moid.org. Most of the stuff on that site makes tubgirl, goatse and lemonparty seem normal.

The kimono top outfit is actually a decent mesh. I always intended to recolour it eventually so I can stand to use it in my game, but err... So much CC to recolour, so little time. I have also recently decided that it's high time I learn to mesh clothing competently (I'll leave the hair to Nouk, thanks), and then I promptly go waste hours and hours in Wow or staring at pictures from other people's games. But I am waaaay off topic.

I am not sad to see Drew go. Drew was an utter ass to me once because I recoloured one of his precious meshes by request and posted it on MTS2. Oh noes!  He treats other creators and downloaders like they are not fit to populate his internet. On top of that, most of his meshes utterly FAIL, especially the "haute couture" line. I don't know if it's because he forgot to assign the bones or what, but the sims move, the clothes don't. The sims breathe, boobs appear through the bodice of the gown. Very off-putting.

In short, good riddance. I certainly hope he doesn't come running back in less than a month.

Oh lord. This reminds me of the time a 14 (or 12, as it were) year old kid decided to declare war against a website I work for. Oh noes, here comes the kiddy army! Also, why resort to slander when so many fun TRUE things come out? These people are silly.

And yes, this qualifies as something new and utterly STUPID Lyric related. This DESERVES flaming, if it is actually true and not some idiot kid trying to mess with Pescado.

Okay, I must refrain from posting while dead tired. That post came out almost incoherent and a little sharper than I intended.

What I mean was that yes, I was here when the shit went down. She did some really bad, nasty things like harass and eventually ban people because she personally didn't like them, allowed people to curry favour with her for unfair advantages at MTS2 and S2C, and by far the very worst of all shared the personal information about suspected filesharers with paysites and set up a hidden forum for that purpose. The first few of these things are lamentable, but not particularly remarkable, people do that shit all the time in online communities. She was fired from her position and that should have been that. The last one is totally unforgivable, I don't think she (or anyone who actively participated in the sharing of info) can be trusted again. That shit doesn't fly.

Some of the things she did weren't harmful at all, just rather amusing, like her coming here to condemn us then being caught by Pescado with her fingers in the booty. She scrambled, tried to make up a story to cover her ass, and failed miserably. In this case, she came out with egg on her face but not a whole lot more.

Now, I have spoken to Lyric several times. While I wouldn't say we regularly corresponded or were friends, I did converse with her pretty regularly. Before the shit hit the fan, I used to go to her directly to hear exactly what was going on when the rumour mill started.  By this, I personally think that she is a fairly normal person who let her position go to her head and things got vastly out of hand. She made some really, really stupid mistakes. The information sharing thing was more than appalling, it was borderline, if not actually, illegal.

Now, I am not advocating 'forgive and forget'. I just think that smacking her down with petty drama every time she shows her face just makes her look more and more like a victim to her supporters. Instead, I think holding off on the bitch-slappery until she makes another big mistake makes our position stronger. Why stoop to hounding someone when we can just wait? And if she really has reformed (slim chance, but still), why not leave her to it and hope that in time she will see the light?

You're right Angelica, this thing is new. It's silly and stupid, to be sure. I sure as hell hope it isn't fooling anyone. 'We give these gifts to you as friends!' sounds like the highest form of idiocy. It's like paying people off to say they like you. So lets make sure everyone sees what a ball of shit this thing is rather than fixating on Lyric being behind it.

I haven't had sufficient cause personally to hate her, I reserve hate for those who have seriously earned it, otherwise it is too time consuming. I can't go around taking that kind of energy hating every person who makes an ass of themselves online. Also, she's human, and probably not a horrible person in her daily life. It's a strange thing how fast you can become someone different in an online community. However, for those of you that were personally harassed by Lyric, then I can understand the strong personal dislike or even hatred. In that case, she earned it. You have every right to hate her.
