In one of the threads (probably the suggestions one; they all look the same to me) someone whined about not everyone having a slow connection, so why should they have to suffer through the horrors of .JPEG.

Wtf.  How ass-backwards can you get?  The outrage over this is ridiculous.  They really seem to hate change.

From just glancing at the info, it does seem overly harsh to ban FP. Probably the mods think that he/she's part of the anti-Delphy/pro-Paysite group. It is possible to still have serious concerns about Delphy's character and not be a part of some stupid group that seems to be manipulating people's fears for their own purposes, and doing a lousy job at that.

I agree. I actually prefer .PNGs but I understand the need for the new rule and it doesn't bother me. I'm happy though that they decided to put a limit to how many pictures a user can put in a post.

Yup, atleast it saves us from the posts with 94834 pics of one sim with the same outfit and everything, from every possible angle using the same over-used poses.

About the PNG thing, I can't understand the bitching either. You're not applying for a prestigeous art school. You're posting pictures for other's enjoyment (hopefully) on a public forum, so that should mean you want everyone to see them, right?

In some contests they want transparent .png's to be able to photoshop them onto another pic... just link to it, then. It's not THAT hard.

I only prefer pngs for doing textures while modding - for most things, I really don't think there is enough of a quality difference to justify the more hefty sized format for an image.

as for the picture forum

1. i thought .png was lighter than .jpg?
2. well, if you one is in a picture forum, it is expected that it will require massive bandwidth. Or you deal with if (pause downloading things stop listening to oline radio) or avoid it. what else now? make the picture forum text only? come on. if your conection isn't fast, well, tough luck. when i was in dial up i didn't download 5gb supermediapackeverythingyoueverneed torrent. was it saddeningg hell, yes. was it 'unfair'? it would be unfair if the 5gb  was compressed to the point it lost quality just because a unfortunate person stuck with dail up demanded so.
