Better yet, can anyone provide instructions on how to update the fridges ourselves?  It's taking too long for the makers to update them. :wink:

Most of them weren't even updated for OFB :evil:
I truly hate that. I can't use any of the old fridges. Same goes for mirror (change appearance for toddlers) and some more things. If it is a free file, ok, but if it is a pay file, it should be updated or it is worthless for players with add-ons. So if there are any updated ones around, or anyone is willing to update them, we will surely have a place for them

Is this just new meshes that need reimporting to a freshly cloned working fridge?  Or are they hacks in themselves?

It's regular custom fridges, new design same regular interactions, that need to be updated for Seasons.  You can put leftovers in but you can't take them out.  I've gotten to the point where I use nothing but Maxi's fridges because of this.  The only fridge I truly want updated is the one from HolySimoly because I adore that kitchen.

So basically, the creator just needs to export their mesh from the custom fridge, clone a Seasons fridge, and import the mesh to the new clone.  Violin!  Looks like a pretty quick and easy job.  These paysites should support their customers by doing that for them as it's so simple.

I like custom fridges but their coding has been borkinated so often it's like, "aldjakldi what's the point?!"  Being able to save meals for later currently trumps custom goodness.

I use the Smart Fridge from ChristianLov and it works fine. I can have the sims save leftovers in it without a problem, and the other options are all fine.

Thats because Holy Simoly is awesome and genuinely seems to want to help people, not just collect money. In fact, I don't even think of them as a real paysite because even though they have a couple of donation sets, their free stuff is of excellent quality and far exceeds the donation sets in quantity.
