I've been looking for a climbing, flowering vine for a while. I've found plenty BUT none of them look good from the back- the flowers only show on one side and I needed something that looks good front and back. I hope this hasn't been posted already... I found what I was looking for:



Honestly, I think the back view looks better.  It's really pretty in-game and comes in four sizes..or is it 5?

Quick question: if you download default eyes, the geneticized ones won't work in pre-created Sims?

Not quite sure what you mean, so I'll answer as best I can. Defaults work on every Sim, existing and yet to come, as they simply take the place (well, override) the Maxis eyes. Townified eyes have the ability to end up on any townie spawned after you put the eyes in your game. Geneticized eyes are what Pescado says above ^^  and creators will give them dominant or recessive traits, so that they act like human eyes (greens recessive, browns dominant, etc...). I'm certainly nowhere near as cranky as Pescado, but I wouldn't recommend geneticized eyes to someone who is constantly changing out their content, or just downloading them to see what they look like in-game.

I totally agree about Nouk's sharp eyes. They are gorgeous, and I've been using them as default replacements since they were released as such. Just love them.

Curse you all, my downloads folder is about to explode.

My downloads folder has not exploded however with most of my downloads being clothing I have begun the awesome and terrible task of organizing my clothing downloads. I finished my Aikea/Gelydh sub folder tonight and next I am moving on to dustfinger. It will take me about a month to finish it since i have tons of meshes and re-colors.

Thank you for pointing out those flowering climbing vines, mustluvcatz.  I, too, love flowering vines and am always on the lookout for good ones.  Those meshes have been in my game for a while now, so it's neat to discover flowering recolors of them.  Their use shall be severely abused on all my overgrown, back country cottage lots.

Unbinned hair can be easily fixed with Wardrobe Wrangler.   But non default genetics I usually stay far away from.  I just have replacement eyes and skins. 

I have to agree with some of the whining on SimSecrets though, there really isn't any truly well done dark skin.  I understand that it could be a graphics issue, but to me, the darkest skins aren't really all that dark.

Oh I agree with that. The one I am most fond of as a darker skin is Enayla's Pixie Ebony, which may not be to your taste but thought you may like the link

 those are my favorite dark skins ( I also like rensim..but there is that whole pay or not pay debate about her but she makes the only skin tone that s anything like my own).

I recently downloaded some very pretty dark skins (the caramel & chocolate are esp nice) by PeachT (?) that appear to be an enayla-rensim-ephemera blend. The only problem is that my dumb ass forgot to label with the site or blog where I found them (possibly GOS or a link from SimsCave).

Oh wow, I love the ebony one.  Do you know if anyone has done a default of the skins?  Because that's all I'll do with skins is have defaults.

Sausage at MTS2 has done defaults of the Enayla Pixie Skintones including ebony, here- http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=297409  for S3 and S4 tones, and here- http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=297400 for S1 and S2. Engram has done a set of defaults with the Pixie Skintones here- http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,88557.0.html but it does not contain Pixie Ebony as the S4 default. I have not used Engrams defaults but Sausages defaults look great in game- she/he has also done the Enayla's Pixie Supernaturals as Plantsim, Vampire, Alien and Evil Witch Defaults, and Engram has used the Pixie Bruise as a genie default

I actually have one of her default skin sets in my game. But boy, I'd love that ebony as my default darkest skin.  It's one of the first really rich, more true looking dark skins.
