I'm mighty impressed that you can wait 20 minutes!! I'm like a whiny kid doing the pee-pee dance when my game loads for 12minutes +.

I spent a good chunk of last night cleaning out old files. Who knew I had 4esf files still in my game? I've had stuff in there for years that I never use. I used simcat to  track down all the misorganized recolors of crap I don't want anymore. By my estimation I've deleted 200-220 files last night. After that, 16 new ones don't seem so bad.

It's a new day! I gotz me space to burn! Where be all the free pretties?

Addiction! Of course not I never download anything! Ok I admit it I have an addiction. 

Fortunatly my game doesn't have loading problems.

I used simcat to  track down all the misorganized recolors of crap I don't want anymore.

What is this simcat that you speak of? And where can I find it? Does it track down all the clothing meshes that I don't have recolors for, too? Cause I don't understand how the Wardrobe Wrangler and Download Organizer are supposed to do that - they never have for me. Perhaps because I keep my mesh files in folders separate from my recolor files?

p.s. Manor House Kitchen looks SICK! (in the good way)

The simcategorizer by simwardrobe. I keep forgetting other people can't read my mind  It does not find clothing and hair recolors, unfortunately. But its good for finding recolors of objects, which is great because sometimes I'll goof and put deco recolors in my build folder, or surfaces, and whatnot. The only gripe I have for it is that it takes forever for it to find all the recolors.

Holy shite! My computer would probably take an hour to load if I had that many! And that's with having organized the files and compressing them.

If you have trouble with sneaky cc when you download houses and lots, you could use the clean installer to import them into your game. You can see all the cc listed and check which ones you want to include in the lot. Or you could just click the lot slot and leave everything else blank (that's what I do).

I use the clean installer when to import simmies, too. That way if I like the sim, but it's wearing clothes, makeup, hair or accessories I don't like, I get to just keep the nice parts.

I do use the clean installer......now! But for so long I didn't and so I had no idea what was being put in my game.AND I never organized anything. All my down loads were floating around all together in the folder. It has only been the past year I took on the task of organizing and going threw everything. But every now and then I will go to use an object I have not used for a while and find that it has a nasty recolor I don't want. So now I am more picky about what I put in my game and I have put things in my own collection type folders to find it all! lol

Agh. My downloads folder says 5,420 files, 57 folders.

And, scarily, I think I like downloading more than actually playing the game.
