What the fuck is a 'pool home'?

Perhaps it is a cry for help, and the creator has been stuffed into one by Thomass, from which there is no escape due to flesh-eating fish in the moat, and the only sims equivalent of it was a house on a pool?     
I know I wouldn't want to live in a "pool home."

My husband built a house once that had an indoor pond, but that was just so the sim could be close to the kitchen and have fresh caught fish at once! He does strange things when he plays my game... He also makes them grilled cheese aspiration.

I tried putting a pond into the greenhouse off of the kitchen once - but it still froze over in the winter.  I also did a pond that went through a house, but the kitchen and living room were on a foundation.....

I'd love to see some of his houses

look at what we have here...some TSR has-been's & Sims community wash-ups & outcasts all in one cozy forum being really productive and scrutinizing other people's work - how fucking sweet. I find it funny that all you can do is complain about other people. How is it your business if people pay for something or not, If I want to pay for something that's my prerogative not yours. So, put your money where your mouth is and create something. I would love to criticize you.

Your husband does have a cool idea..never thought about that one lol. I'm still trying to get my husband involved with the sims-all he will do is criticize my sim of him saying I make him look unmanly.  Oh well lol

A pool home  ORLY

I lurvs helping kenmtl out whenever TSR tosses him a curve ('cause I'm sweet like that, dammit).

Pool Home: A home that was mistakenly constructed over it's own pool but an unbelievably stupid builder. Also know as an "Ignorant Illianna"

A Contemporary/Traditional Pool Home: Similar to above but designed by an architect with multiple personalities.

TSR : A shitty shitty sims site known for underhanded business dealings, linking children to porn sites and it's phenomenally sub par workforce specializing in crap.

And I swear those girls remind me of that movie Copycat where the killer photoshopped Sigourney Weaver's head onto someone else's body. Freaky... *shivers*

We have a problem.   

I do use custom lights, but they are generally the ridiculously gorgeous paper star lamps, a couple of really pretty chandelier/candelabras, and ceiling fans.  I occasionally use a one-pixel microlight if I want to make it look like a ceiling lamp is lighting the whole room from the second story in a great room or stairway.  Even well made analogues to the things DOT churns out would have me going meh, because it's not an improvement over stuff already in the game.

I still say they aren't actually lamps so much as illuminated ottomans with ping-pong paddles duct taped to the sides...
