Gorgeous bedroom set, Moune! Now that I've got a new computer, I worked up my Sims 2 appetite and reinstalled EVERYTHING that I had on my crap computer.

I got rid of the plants that were on the ladder from that object in M&G and added slots to it. The only interactive object you should put on it is a radio, maybe a lamp for you creative peeps out there. It's slaved from the original object and comes with the plants that were on the ladder as well as the can where the plants used to be. I call it the "cludder."

The only problem with the object is that using the telephone causes the sim to impail its head on the ladder. I expected this to happen and no way around it.

It's in the queue now at MTS2.

You wouldn't by any chance consider making a basegame version, too. I don't have any of the stuff packs but would really like to have this one in my game.

I'd like to have it, as well, but I stopped getting anything after Seasons. Btw, Fway, I totally drool over the window sets that you made for the packs after Seasons and totally resent the fact that I can't haz. You do good stuff! *whine* Plus, I'd love to try my hand at recolouring when my hands stop acting up so badly. If you ever decide to attempt making those base game compatible, you have a willing person to make recolours.

I've cloned the original and it should be base game, should also take all recolors plus the one by fway should also work.  Please let me know if the package doesn't work or if the recolors don't work.

This is something I've worked on for the last month: stained glass doors and windows.

 
 

Looking back, I think I wasn't quite ready to tackle doors and windows- but it was quite the learning experience and I'm pleased with the results. If'n you like them and wants them- you can get them http://www.sailfinsims.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=291..I submitted them at MTS, too for the current challenge.

A question about desks.

I prefer desks that have the workspace (with computer and chair) in the middle and doors/drawers at both sides, and I've always found it annoying how Maxis desks have the workspace at one side and drawers or doors at the other. Of course you can use cheats and invisibles to place computers and chairs in the middle of the desk, but while it looks better (IMO) it means that sims can't use the computer.

My question is how do you feel about this and - more specifically - which one of these two desks do you prefer?





The top one works like any ordinary Maxis desk. For the bottom one Sims will either sit with their leg in the righthand cabinet or you must use cheats and invisibles to place chair and computer in the middle - which then means that your Sims can't use it.

Moune; I really like the second desk, I haven't seen a lot of desks with that design and love it! Nice work there.

I'm actually going to say the first one is better.  Its still different and is likely to be  a lot less problematic in game.
