I voted for the last option, too.

1.3%  - You should feature more items from pay sites in the Finds, I frequently purchase Sims downloads and hate to miss previews of good pay content
14.0% - I think it is right that pay items are featured so that people can decide for themselves if they wish to purchase the content shown
8.7%  - You should not to feature pay items as it is a disappointment to those who cannot afford to pay for the items shown
7.3%  - Pay items should only be included in the finds if the site contributes a support fee to Parsimonious for the advertising of their updates
68.4% - No pay items should be featured as it is inappropriate to charge money for Sims custom content and Parsimonious should not be encouraging the community to support this practice via the Finds

The eventual outcome is that they are still posting pay content in their finds.  So I don't know what the final score was.

They didn't implement it because they found that people were cheating, and voting more than once and skewing the results, as well as Kate wanted a bit more of a landslide in the vote.  They have prioritised free finds though, and will put them up first, and if the pay ones get left out, then they get left out.

There's always some idiot spoiling things for other people.  That's one of the advantages of a forum poll, it's such a hassle to cheat that most people don't bother.

The newsletter has this info:
We have an additional change to our Finds section pending, after much
deliberation we have decided that we are only going to be featuring free
updates in our Finds section. This change will come into effect from
this Sunday - we are not excluding sites with pay content from our finds,
merely individual updates that require payment.
So, cool.  The majority vote wins!

Of course it would be even better if part-pay sites were excluded altogether, but I can't expect everyone to be that extreme.

Do you feel that pay downloads created by the Sims community are higher quality than the free ones?

1.8%  - Free downloads are usually dreadful, pay files are almost always much better quality
8.0%  - Pay files are generally better but there are some good quality free downloads
16.8% - There are more quality items which are pay than free ones, but they are not worth paying for
40.4% - There are just as many good quality free items as there are quality pay items
22.3% - There are more quality free downloads than there are good pay items
10.4% - Pay downloads are mostly awful, free items are nearly always better quality
