Pocahantas was 11 when the events John Smith made up supposedly took place. And none of it happened. He was well-known for being a con artist, and she was EXTREMELY ticked off about the whole thing. Basically, she came to England with her husband, and was a social sensation, and Smith ran around going, "I banged her first!" Yeah, he was a lying prick.

Seems that way, but that whole pack of lions seemed to just pop up out of nowhere for the sequel, so it's kind of hard to tell. Going on appearance alone, I'd guess yes.

I've never seen The Lion King 2 but I heard Kovou's mom was Scar's mate. Scar was Mufasa's brother, Mufasa was Simba's father, Simba is Kiara's father. Oh those silly lions.

Died the minute KH2 came out and the mindless fangirls latched onto Axel/Roxas, proclaimed it canon and went about inventing holidays to celebrate their twue wub.

And this is why when I decided to write the novel I've been kicking around for a year, I stripped it of all it's KH stuff and made it original fiction rather than deal with a fandom that supports and defends pedophilia as long as it's yaoi.

Quick question.

I am so totally removed from the whole manga/anime/fangirl/prettyboyswithmakeup/whatever thing. It is pretty much a culture shock for me. I don't get it and I don't understand it. But that is neither here nor there.

Can someone translate "yaoi" for me? Is there a literal translation or is it more of a concept?

Oh, and somewhat off-topic (if there IS such a thing for this thread :lol:) if someone's looking for a good set of romance novels, I'd highly recommend the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.  Paranormal, though, alas, no pedophilia.  Anywho - exerpts to be had at http://www.dark-hunter.com.  

And I, too, would like a translation for yaoi.  That one flew right by me.  Though to be fair, I haven't watched anime since the days of Vampire Hunter Dee, Devil Hunter Yoko and Wicked City.
