Being banned is not a big deal I am banned from certain sites and while i have little if any of their Free things. Thanks to all my friends I have all the pay things. :lol: What a great Life the life of a file sharer is.  As far as what Lizard realizes I do not think she is realizing much of anything to be honest. :roll: I have to laugh at how she wants to be Lyric though. :lol: :lol: Gawd what a role model to have. :roll: Wee |

That's not it at all...We buy our clothes, we buy our food, we bought the computers we're on right now, and the very expensive games and expansions... We just don't think that paysite owners have a legal right to charge for something that EA legally owns. |

Not since the original (ts1) was around anyway. 2 - (yes 2) You haven't really given us ONE good reason to stop. I don't see EA complaining about what we are doing either. |

I was around the Sims community when Livin Large was announced and I can assure you that paysites were not around then. People had already started to create objects, but no-one started charging till Mall of the Sims. The outrage it was huge. Then they all realised there was money to be made and they all started going pay.
When it comes to Sims2 charging was around before hand. WDS was defentitly charging for clothes before we even had the damn game! Most people were against it then and consedering how quickly this site address had spread, most are quite happy with these items being free.

I remember them, they were free and hosted a bunch of peoples stuff and it was neat 'cause it made it easy to find things, having it under one roof so to speak. Then all of a sudden you couldn't get in without paying. Last time I was there was the day they started charging 'cause it was stupid back then and its stupid now. I live comfortably and could pay for what I wanted, but I am big on principle. Charging for time you give freely for a hobby is wrong, and it is a hobby, because unless you are getting a paycheck from EA, you don't have any claims on what you derrived from EA's content. Min |

I don't live comfortably and I can't afford to pay for CC or stuff packs. I'm lucky I have most of the EPs.
I remember the Sims1 sites and how much fun they were..until some started charging. EA offered up new stuff for FREE all the time, never charged. Now the paysites are everywhere because people got greedy and so has EA in return. Each EP is less and less. Paysites charge more and more.
Many times the CC is crap anyway. Someone pays for it and then they have crap. No return policy. The sites LIE and use the word 'donation' when they mean price. They won't replace items a person can PROVE they paid for but lost in a crash or someting. The paysites say: well buy it again. THAT is theivery! Do you really think those things are RIGHT?
Do you see the modders charging for their mods?? Pescado, Numenor, twojeffs, pinhead, Eric, Squinge, etc etc so many I can't list them all! NO. They give freely! I bet ten to one you used the jump bug fix! And many more, don't you?
Get off your 'oh I'm so moral' high horse and THINK it thru. The PAYSITES are the theives!
It is the sharing of information, ideas and CC that makes the game fun and spontaneous. The paysites are ruining that. Pescado is trying to give it back!
