I think of honey, love or other crutch words as patronizing.  Mostly because only a woman would throw that onto a sentence.  And if there is something I hate, it's other women!  Don't try to be my friend you fucking bitch.  You want me to go clean a toilet, fine.. just tell me to.  We don't need to pretend like we like each other.  Grr...

The thing is when their doing that you got to ask why are they calling you that. Some people can say it and its done genuinely like a close friend. BUT others OMG its what their not saying, condescension to a T that you are reading.

Well, I tend to use it for people I know but don't actually feel that much love for, rather than just random people I meet...cos that's vile and common...but say, workmates, or people I'm around while drunk, they all get to be 'love'.
