I find it almost as annoying as when that chick(wasn't it you?) kept capitalizing the first letter of every word.
When I said that there needed to be a random crap thread it had little to do with them and more to do with all the random off topic posts in every thread.

I suppose it's because we don't really have hippos walking around here killing people.
We don't see how ferocious they are.
I remember a cartoon I saw long ago of a hippo wearing a tutu.
