*shrugs* Don't want it. But its funny that they wouldn't have that secure. I assume you just checked the directory? :lol: It wasn't meant as a gift. :lol: A great deal of the paysites hardly secure their paycrap. This particular site only confirmed my previous suspicions. They are utter morons. I highlighted the 'donation' button and looked at the source to get the link. What irks me is that they are on Geocities and whining about bandwidth woes when they know that Geocities free sites are allocated a cap amount each hour. It's all bullshit meant to cover up their greedy asses. |

Its letting me download their stuff. I called my friend who I work with. She runs sublime sims. She made them this offer:
Hi.
I can see your coping a lot of flack for your donation set at the moment. I have an offer for you. Sublime Sims will host your site for free with a subdomain. We'll give you 5GB of server space and 100GB of bandwidth per month. This is negotiable further down the track as you grow. The catch? No donation sets. Vashti and I have been in the community for 6+ years. We can even give you some pointers.
This takes care of the need to have donate files, and the site is still yours to run however you want.

Well, I was pissed. I mean, I tried to be constructive about what I had to say. I could have been cruel, but I decided to be fair, and I even posted my real handle and website. Then she lumped me and a few others together with the rest of the "U sux" posts, and deleted all of them. When I read her message I was like... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOU! But I didn't say that  Not in so few words at least. |

Well, see that's the ethical dilemma.
On one hand, they're a lousy filthy paysite, and paysites must be destroyed.
On the other, we have paid for all of our stuff so far (directly or indirectly, through SFV) and we've never "hacked" a site to get booty. This sorta smacks me as hacking the site to get it, which I'm on the fence about.
Any other opinions?

I was nothing but polite, and my post was deleted too - but the guestbook's been filled back up with people on our side. I have a feeling they're going to remove the guestbook completely soon. No one there feels any sympathy for them.
I was really amused by the new announcement and the whole, "If I have some free items, it's a free site no matter how many pay items there are. It says so right here in my 'Sims 2 Player's Guide to Twisted, Batshit Anti-Logic'!" logic.
