Sims Cave may be under attack

I don't know that it will amount to anything but I say a thread over at Sims Cave by someone going by the name "Leo" which states:

I am informing you that you are hosting some of my creations and creations of others without their permission and I am in the process of contacting your hosting provider to get this site closed.

Thoughts? I'm sure this isn't the first time something similar has happened. The user's profile doesn't list a site or an email address, so hopefully this is some moron's idea of a bad joke.

It seems like a joke to me (even if it is meant as serious) because he couldn't sue for the said creations since they belong to EA. I'm not sure if he can still mess with their hosting provider? (Wouldn't put it past the scumbag to try if this is real) I don't know, but I think they should be fine.

ETA: True he hasn't mentioned anything about suing, I only mentioned it because he has no legal rights to them But yea true the hosting company might get nervous and not care to find out the true facts before acting. Hmmmm

He isn't saying anything about suing - hosting companies get very twitchy when anyone talks about things like copyright infringement or piracy - all he has to do is make a stink about the posters at the cave sharing the work of others without right to. The hosting company is unlikely to care about the intricacies of package files and game formats and EULA legalese, at least at first. I would assume that they've faced something like this before, though?

I remember tje owner coming here with problems once before, but she talked to Pescado so I'm no really sure what it was about (that, and my memory is failsauce).

It's true that providers don't really care about the legalities and technicalities. Make a big enough stink and they'll pull any site. The balleet finger gets very twitchy.

I doubt anything would happen. I mean think of how many people before this schmuck had to complain? It's not like Sims Cave just appeared over night. I highly doubt anything serious would happen, and if it did all they would have to do is talk to Pes.

Well it's not strange that all pirate (sympathisant) sites are under attack. Paysites are actively trying to isolate 'us' untill there's nowhere to go but Pescado's servers, and they'll probably figure that they can hack that and destroy it all forgood.

He even made a bitch about it in "Rant Rage." Sim Cavers don't seem to be to affected by this guy. Apparently he is pissed because they have his creations in their sharing area.
