You think you've got it bad? My eye folder alone (which is divided into subfolders by creator) has, get this, nine hundred ninety-nine files in it and still growing when I find more. At the moment, though, I'm on the hunt for the steam punk stuff because of all of you guys!

I can beat you with my eye folder, Paden, 1114, not counting the ones I downloaded today, that haven't been added yet. Sadly, this is after a big clean up. *sigh* I am a hopeless download-a-holic.

I respectfully disagree. The best eyes ever are Phobia's Sahrha's Eyes!
I also really like enenen's Haribo eyes. I downloaded the geneticized version and the best thing ever happened: I got a restaurant hostess with jet black hair, bright orange eyes, and the name of Patience Winchester. Favorite townie evar.
But I've looked at mine eye folder - it's only 343. I really like every single set that I have, so no changey changey planned on my part.

Quick question: if you download default eyes, the geneticized ones won't work in pre-created Sims?

ETA: The 2nd best ones, for me, are Pooklet's Yumedust's "Eye Love" on Anva's sclera. Teh colors are so awesome.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to the question. But now that you bring up Anva, for me, my ultimate favorite. There are many other eyesets that I'll have great fondness for, but I reserve my obsessive love for hers alone. She's the best at making brown eyes that look like brown eyes you'd see in real life.

Anva's "fickle eyes" is my favorite set.

Those eyes are the best. Another ones that are great, me thinks, is Shady's Wild Eyes. Goldie oldie.

Random question, since we're talking about eyes. I understand default replacements - that's easy. But what is meant by 'geneticized' and 'townified'? I've tried figuring it out, but I just get more confused.

Basically, it means that they have been hacked so that they will appear on townies and don't use the custom-eye superdominance rules. However, like with all "custom genetics", once you put them in your game, they are stuck there FOREVER and you can never remove them without screwing up every sim using them. They are a bad thing: Stick with default overrides.

Well, that sounds like a giant pain in the ass, especially given how often I purge my downloads. I'll definitely just stick to the default replacements which I can change without repercussions if I get bored with them.

And in thanks, let me mention that Sailfin has updated with a cool desk and office chair, and on the same site, Beth has some car recolours as well as some recolours of the Caress of Teak bed. You can find them here. You'll have to register to download, but it's free so it's all good.

No eyes that I've ever found have ever match Nouk's Sharp Eyes.
They look great in game, and any other eyes I've found look very... eh... animé...
I challenge someone to find more realistic eyes.
