That's getting annoying. Atwat, rather than spending all day fabricating lies in order to curry Thomass' favor, how about checking into a day spa (for a month or so) and working on the outer you. Don't even bother with the inner atwat - that's pretty much shot to hell.

There is always IJ, where tomato is keeping her journal.

Both are good suggestions. LiveJournal clearly is not going to go very well with Coconut, so she should look into InsaneJournal and Blogger as alternatives

Snarky - Bwaaahahahaha!  So, I'm new to the journaling.  Insane Journal is strictly friend only, right?  If so, that would mean Coconuts goodies wouldn't get out to the rest of the community as easily.  Any other alternatives?

No, IJ isn't friends only.  But the owner of it once remarked that if stuff was friendslocked, he wasn't going to take complaints against it very seriously.  (This was durring the great "strike out" at LJ, when people were being banned for merely having interest LJ felt were "wrong.")  By Flocking her journal, Tomato has a much lower chance of having it banned. 

Yes, coconut can start an IJ that isn't locked.   However, it might get banned.  Then again, it might not too.  But the risk is higher if it's not locked.

That being said, there is no reason why Coconut couldn't post the stuff somewhere and use IJ or LJ to tell people when a new part is up.  "Hey guys, go here!" and put a link to the new stuff.  Then, all she'd have to worry about is one place (where the stuff is) and updating the links to said stuff.  Also, I doubt LJ will ban a journal for only having a link to something someone doesn't like.

I get the feeling that so long as one person tells them 'boohoo, those guys are being mean' they'll remove the page and pat themselves on the back for providing such excellent customer support. Whether they whine about actual screenshots or links to screenshots doesn't seem to concern them much. In fact, that would mean they'd have to investigate the complaint and at the rate these journals are closing, I have little faith in these investigations.

IJ... I dunno. Having a site to inform the public and then making it friends only seems a bit counter-productive. And if it's going to get banned anyway if it's public...

I used Blogger and got the impression they keep their noses out of other people's bussiness. As long as you don't post hardcore pr0n they don't seem to care much. So unless atwat goes and does something outrageously stupid and leaks the pictures, Blogger may be a safe bet.

I really think hosting it on this site is going to have to be one of the options.  There is still no reason why she can't have it hosted on blogger or IJ.  A permanent home is needed though.  A lot of the community has read the journals most have back ups of it.  TSR or Atwat is either worried sick about what could be next or don't want any newb victims to read it and eliminate profits.  Even if people don't trust pmbd the posts must raise some doubt in their minds.

What about posting it at journalfen? The whole Ms.Scribe saga (http://www.journalfen.net/users/charlottelennox/) is still up there. Coconut could go to (http://www.journalfen.net/community/anon_no_more/) to get an account.

Or Coconut could post it at fandom_wank.

Pescado has already offered it a home.  But anywhere that it isn't going to get ripped down.  Eventually it is going to become confusing as to where you actually go to read it.

I think it would easiest to host on PMBD.  Because with the journal being suspended: On one hand, it may confuse the sheeple about where it is and they won't read.  On the other hand, all this nonsensical crap by TSR to get it removed proves how ebil they.  But by hosting on PMBD the ebil is always visible.

Yeah, it does seem like most other options are exhausted. At least that way I'd be able to link to it from my blog without having to update every other day

For what it's worth, LJ probably would get in a snit-fit if coconut just added links to a new LJ and said, "Go there!" and someone complained.  Clearly LJ thinks what coconut is doing is worth suspension, so I'm not sure if changing how stuff is posted would do anything.  There has been plenty of nonsense there regarding what is appropriate to link to.  InsaneJournal has a decent number of server issues now and then, but the owner is a pretty cool guy and, as far as I know, does not take a stance that links to another location are grounds for suspension unless they're clearly against the terms of service.  Like, no porn, hate speech, blah blah, the usual stuff.  The owner was very upfront about that after last year's shining moment of LJ idiocy.  And, IJ is not friends only.  The accounts there can have any privacy set up.  It's just a lot harder to complain about what you saw when you asked to be allowed to see what's going on in a friends only journal.  Can't guarantee that IJ wouldn't suspend an account, but they'd be a lot less stupid about it.

JournalFen is also a pretty good choice...if Sims 2 can be considered a fandom (there's certainly enough drama for it), it would be an easy in I'd think.  If someone can get coconut an account and she(?) is 18+, I doubt anyone there would bother coconut with TOSing and bannination.

I'm not sure I want to open my site up for target practice (I'd like more exposure, but I'm not sure I want THAT kind of exposure!), but if worst comes to absolute worst, I could set aside some space and set it up so that coconut could have a subdomain and limited FTP access...it looks like the TOS at my host would allow it and wouldn't suspend my account for it (or if they considered it, they would have the decency to tell me and give me a chance to remove it).  Still, since PMBD is willing to host, that's much better--we know that Pescado isn't going to delete it, and then coconut could get a blog or journal elsewhere and point to the hosted material.

Okay, just to put an end to your respective miseries, coconut was already in discussions about a permanent home, as offered by Pescado.  They were getting ready to do that.  However, they did say that they will be tied up until the weekend, so we just need to give them a bit of time to do their own meatspace stuff.
