I really don't feel all that strong about this, especially since I'm not the one making decisions, so ultimately I don't really care that much what happens. The idea for me was to stop this people from going "Oh no, that's from PMBD, it's probably all doctored."
There's a lot of resentmenttowards this forum going around and I just thought it would be a shame if people would be put of from reading those things just because it's hosted by us. Then again, there will always be sheeple and I'm not that good at anticipating people's reaction, so who knows?

Try thinking of it this way.  The people that would lie to themselves and say that the screens must be doctored probably wouldn't embrace our side's POV with their current state of mind, so it doesn't matter anyway.  I think it's a moot point.

Many previous sheeples have seen the light over the years so I think they're still worth reaching out to, even if it takes them a while to really listen to what we have to say.

Ah, and I was going to do a catch up at Coconut's LJ - seems like the maintenance someone else mention is still ongoing, although they have re-designed the header fior Halloween so I wonder if its related to that.

It's showing up as "suspended" again here. Some people at TSR have no lives, and it shows. Not content with sharing user info and slagging off people with illnesses (and Germans), they're busy spending your hard-earned subscription cash on getting the opposition shut down. Oh, and building that second house.

That's their problem, not ours. All those screenshots are real to me, but some people will never be convinced. They're not the ones we should concern ourselves with. It's those people still sitting on the fence who need to see what's really happening over there, not the hardcore TSR fans, whose opinions will never change.

Personally, I would love to see Coconut's journal hosted here. Insane Journal requires signup (something that I refuse to do - I don't sign up willy-nilly to sites), which will put a lot of people off.

I never thought we could convince the real die-hards anyway, no matter what is hosted where, I was just thinking about the 'on the fence' people who were looking for alternate sources of information. As far as I'm concerned getting the message across to the undecided crowd is our problem, but you're right. If they're willing to convince themselves everything anti-TSR is doctored, there's not much we can do about that.

For future reference to everyone, an error page or no network connection page means livejournal is down, not coconut's journal. They're doing maintenance and it's been going up and down all day.  If it is truly suspended it will have a message about the journal is suspended - not an error page.

Also, keep in mind that you might be trying to access coconut's first LJ, which was http://coconut-tsr.livejournal.com which is now suspended.
The one that works is http://tsr-coconut.livejournal.com/ (first one was coconut-tsr, new one is tsr-coconut). Slight difference, but it got me a few times.

I tend to see TSR as an eroding cliff, and PMDB being the stormy sea that's undercutting it. In other words, the way to make TSR collapse is to cut away at the lowest levels of their support base.

Yup yup yup...get this out to as many people as you can from as many places as you can.  The more who see it the more butthurt they suffer from.  Believe me...I was one of the stupid sheeple...even if ThomaAss did think I was a pirate...I was very loyal at one time to TSR...hell I got me a regular old ass whooping in the TSR is a sucky ass thread last year....so if stubborn me sees the light then there are many more that will see it too!   Come on sheeple...walk towards the light...

Ya know, bashing Atwa ans Toma$$ and TSR is all fine and dandy and wonderful, but this person who claimed that a "Nazi regime reference" actually wasn't "vile enough to describe the things that go on here" was utterly ludicrous. Did no one point out that this was totally ridiculous and insulting to everyone whom the Nazi regime actually KILLED, or who fought in World War II, or, hell, anyone who has any basic human intelligence? I wasn't saying I support not having a backup, that would be stupid, especially now that they're actively trying to close it down. I was saying that it's good to have this information coming from someone who officially has no ties to PMBD and posts in a completely different place. Totally different things.

I get what you're trying to say, but it still sounds just as pod peopleish to me.  Coconut doesn't have any "official" ties to PMBD and we're still involved anyway because of how often Coconut has posted tidbits to us in the past on this phorum.  There being no bias can't exist.

The pod person comment wasn't aimed at you.  It was at Devilfish and.. just reskimmed the thread and it's really just at Devilfish.  For some reason I was thinking it was two people acting off, thus pod people.  So yeah, grow a thicker skin or just call me an ass.  Either will work out fine.
