Imo, EA does love TSR, but only because EA sucks. If they can get all modders to charge for stuff, EA will have a much easier time nickle and diming their customers themselves. Plus, since paysite crap is crap, EA won't look bad in comparison.

That works in theory, but a good portion of the EA store stuff is as crappy if not more so, than the stuff sold on paysites.

Lots of people pay for shit in real life, it's called fertilizer and helps the pretty things grow. This, well, it's just garbage that pollutes our games, computers and down load folders. Trash downloads are trash. EA and pay sites alike are excellent at fucking with us in whatever way they can. They do it for love of money. The free creators do it for love of the game. I'll take something that came from game love, thanks.

I suspect TSR have been paying EA royalties, hence the reason why EA is so sweet on TSR but trying to play at neutral in the whole paysite debate, which is incredabily hipocritical.  (Sorry about the spelling today folks, its hot and hard to think right now.)

That would certainly explain a few things, Meanie. I've always wondered why EA is so tolerant of TSR-- the more money people put towards their downloads, surely the less they have to spend on things like SPs and EPs? If EA is getting a portion, however, they would still be getting money either way.

The TSR chess thing is by Callisto who has long ago left TSR and is now a mod/admin at Natural Sims... I know its horible, but I don't think TSR will let her get rid of it.

No, she doesn't even do ugly well.  Gualta though - she makes the most gorgeous ugly, broken down stuff ever.  I know her broken kitchen is up over on MTS2 now, I found it while looking for some new kitchen stuff to use.  And her stuff is free.  [Of course she's also done some just plain gorgeous stuff too.]

Buntah's stuff just is....blech.

 I love Phoenix Phaerie stuff...but she uploads to the TSR as well ( or she did at one point...last time I checked she did)  I am afraid that she might be one creator who gets sucked in at TSR.  Well if the TSR was smart they would try to get her because she is awesome.
