Tons of streaked recolors of XMsims meshes. However, picking XM for a comparison is awkward because some consider them pay and some consider them free. :/

If they have donation sets, I tend to think of them as pay. But I do like some of their free hairs, but don't use them much. I haz Nouk, Helga and HP! And one or two others, maybe, like Kavar...

Has anyone ever contacted XM about going free?  The fact that they haven't released a donation set since early 2006 makes me think that they're not too serious about making monies off of their site; if they were, they could probably make loads off of the hair, as opposed to outdated-looking furniture from three years ago, which is basically what their donation sets are.

It would be great to have another free site with a lot of hair to combat Raon, Rose, and Peggy.  While Nouk and Helga are great, they still hardly hold a candle to the pay creaters in terms of the sheer amount of hair they make.  XM has a lot, and they're good quality, too.

The evidence of sheeples giving Peggy, Raon, and Rose their monies would suggest that there are those out there that are lured by quantity, and are willing to negotiate (or rather, could give un crap about) quality.

All of XM sims hair is free. They did say they were going to release all their donation sets, and they have released many of them, but they haven't completed it. It's been more than 2 years since their last donation set, so they're almost free. I wish they'd just do it already.

They used to be.  It was one of the first Sims 2 paysites that I knew of.
