7DS was terrific, way back in the day. And there were a few other great sites like that as well.   Does anyone remember Sims on a Stick?

Oh god yes! They were fantastic. I love those funky things they had.  Sometimes I wish we had less photoskinned clothing, and more weird stuff.

I once tried to get a project going to make more fantasical stuff for plant sims, but no one seemed interested.

Missbonbon, 8DS was around during Sims 1. My older sister was OBSESSED with them mainly because of all the kinky, weird stuff they had.


Yeah, I know. My family is full of freaks. 

Oh yes I know, but I recall it coming out right before Sims 2 was released. Maybe I just didn't know about it then, but 7DS was one of my favorite sites, and I remember wishing I had The Sims 2 back in the day so I could get to 8DS. Obviously, I'm glad my wish didn't come true. They have a lot a shitty stuff now.

Anyone remember when Coasters was free? They had some of the best houses. Not anymore, now you have to pay for this shit:

That's the thing - I really only ever downloaded stuff for building/decorating my homes - but yeah, I hit most of those old sims 1 sites.

Oh, that modern chandelier would look great in a horror story.

A poor Sim wearing this, uhm... interesting Carla Niven T-shirt and with an... err, even more interesting hair...



...is rejected by other Sims for being too ridiculous and gets fucking depressed - SO depressed that she could "commit" the acquisition of that chandelier. In a beautiful sunny day, she finally noticed she didn't deserve to live anymore. She decided to do suicide with a knife to make a favour to Humanity, but, before she got to the kitchen, that scary square thing felt on her head. People got very happy with that, so they threw parties in every town in the world and that day became an international holiday. After the celebrations, a new religion started - the "chandelierism". The "chandelierers", the members of that religion, prayed for the chandelier to kill all other sucky people in the world.



PS: I would make screenies of the story, but SecuROM is making my RAM "mysteriously" vanish and I don't think I'll be able to launch TS2 with 150 MB. ¬¬
