and yes, you can add stitching to it in a few different ways.  Another thing that you should consider is adding a bit of shadow and highlight to the shirt itself.

if you want a lighter color, start with the light and go to the dark. SO PRETTY! I still have to work on the realistic part, though...

Aw, I feel famous!

Add a little shine and some darker texturing and they will be a lot more realistic. I think you'll be making excellent eyes in no time, because every time you post them, they look better and better.

Alrighty, Ive finally mustled up enough courage to show you guys and eye I had been working on, then forgot about, and now want to get opinions on.



Any suggestions to make it better?

Perhaps just a tad bit darker on the pupil. Other than that, it looks perfect to me.

You actually inspired me to continue a project I had been working on a while back that I put on hiatus.
(I wanted to make a bunch of them and upload them to MTS2, but I wanted opinions before I did any more of them)

The eyes look very nice, Lemons. I don't usually go for red, myself, but it's a nice deep color. I'd have to agree with Zazazu about making the pupil a little darker (a full black, since this looks like an extremely dark maroon); I think that would make quite a difference in making them look more realistic. Are you still planning on making more colors? And are you going to go with primarily fantasy colors, or natural ones? I'd really like to see this texture/shine pattern on some natural, dark-colored eyes (dark browns, backs, dark blues, etc.).

Im actually working on a dark blue as we speak type.

Im hoping to have one or two of each regular eye color (brown, black, two green, two blue, grey) and then a couple of fantasy ones. (Like this red, and maybe a purple).

I hope I can recreate the criss-crossy way of making the shine though. . .

Lemons, if you're going for more realistic, I think they should be a teeny bit smaller in width.  Basically so more of the whites show, but not too much.  But that's just my personal taste - I know some people prefer the bigger eyes.

I think if you took replaced the white near the pupils with something to match the eye texture, and maybe made the pupil more intense, it would be better.

The eyes might need a little bit more gloss to it. It's a bit cartoony for me.

I don't know why I never give up... I've tried my hands at hair meshing again.

This hair was originally going to be a tribute to the Ramones but it ended up being a tribute to Svenne Hedlund - N.o 1 teenage idol in Sweden in the 60's - see him in his glory days! (My mother had that record. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to literally roffle at it. We compared the poor guys - not to their advantage - to OUR n.o 1 idols of that time - NKOTB!) (The guy in the top-left corner is Benny Andersson of ABBA, BTW )



Anyway - textures is my weak side but I'm determined to improve (how tempting it may be to steal Nouk's lovely textures... Must. Resist!) So they are not super. Neither is the mesh, but at least it's very low poly (hence the sharp edges here and there  ...)

I don't know what I'm going to do with it - would anyone actually want it (it needs improvement of course - that's why I'm posting!)? Mebbi medieval simmies wants it as well as the odd Swingin' Sixties guy?

Suggestions for improvement welcome!

The Ramones are so very cool! I read that and was like "tribute???This is the best!"
But now you are frustrated.
Hmmm. I could see some very hip clothing, some blue-tinted shades and the blond hair on a very cool Sims.

OR

Maybe some "tribute to the Ramones clothing" and the dark hair on Tommy or Dee Dee? Too short for Joey ya know.
