THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Ah Dr House, thank you so much for letting me know that one.. Smiley It should be fixed, let me know if it's not.

I've got a Damask one done in both formats that I just need to test in-game to ensure it shows up.. Smiley But I want to make sure I give you guys at least a couple of patterns in one go.. And as I'm an absolute nut for Arts and Crafts stuff, I'm working on trying to simplify William Morris' Snakeshead enough so I can get a variation of it into the game.(It has substantially more than four colours and requires a fair bit of cleaning up)..

Oh and I'm going to be doing a tute on doing patterns with the Gimp.. the one on MTS is good, but it just needs drilling down a bit more so it's easier for folks. Wink

perturbed muppet.

Try saying that twelve times fast..  Grin

By the way, CookiePirate and Sailfin Dragon, just gorgeous on both counts! Where can I download your house from CookiePirate?

I just uploaded my first TS3 custom pattern-it's a fluer de lis set with burgundy, purple and green colour options. I hope you like it.. You can get it here. It's fine to reuse the texture for whatever. http://sublimesims.net/

note, these are done using TS3 Workshop, they SHOULD just install straight into your game. Let me know if you have any issues with the file and I can look at whether I need to do them using Delphy's tool instead.

Here you go:

Its a 1 bedroom, but does have a basement.

I made an art gallery for Sims 3. I really don't like the one that came with Sunset Valley, its just way to open for the little amount of stuff actually in it, and it gave me a place to dump things my sim collected and the paintings his wife made.

That is the outside of it. Inside on the first floor is the gallery. Most of the art work is done by the wife of one of my sims. Also there are tables that have some cut gems and metal ingots, those were found by my sim. There is a basement, and it had about $100,000 worth of ingots, cut gems, space rocks, and magic gnomes. When I packaged the lot all of that, along with a few paintings, were sent to my sims family inventory. I had the vision of making a little sitting area down there, and then the majority of the basement being more gallery space for the cut gems. Well that didn't happen because it won't let me build walls down there, even when I took it down to about 1 3/4 levels deep, it still said that it was covered by floor tile.

Out back there is a little resting place for where my sim and his wife will by buried, seemed fitting seeing as this is their gallery. The second floor has a little coffee bar and some seating in front of it. There are also two bathrooms, a reading area, and a chess area.

There is store content in this lot. I used the sofa, love seat, armchair, dining chair, end table, curtains, and their textures from the storybook set.

As for CC patterns, I looked through the entire lot and I am pretty sure I only used 2. These Hexagon Tiles (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=12815.0) There is a second tile you can see on the walls of the bathrooms on the second floor, I am sure it is custom, but I can not remember where the hell I got it.

Wow Nice Shocked The paintings are impressive and I love how the gems are displayed per colors and cut types. BTW if you put your sims graves in the basement, it'll become a haunted museum, no? That's totally nifty!

I currently have a sim remodeling the art gallery - I just got finished making a farm sort of community lot.  The stuff in the premade one just feels lazy - like after making a super modern building, they were haphazard.

I started with the Maxis "Seatris" Sofa (the ugly diamond one) and came up with this set.

The metal, as far as I know, is not recolorable, but the cushions are. Just recolor the maxis sofa. Likewise, I believe only the glass is recolorable on the tables (it's linked to the glass from the funky round endtable with the curved base). I wouldn't get too hung up about the metal, though. The whole reason I made this set was because I'd placed the diamond sofa in game (probably for the first time in years) and discovered how cool the steel looked with light reflecting off of it. The steel in this set shares the same reflective properties. I also toned down the shadow under the coffee table since taking this screenshot.
