I really like having them in my game, gives me more selection and matched seating. Way to go, Snarky!

By the Sea: Bon Voyage Travel Poster Re-Colors

So today i got a little bored with lot creation which is my normal thing, and decided to do something different. I can't make wallpapers as Homecrafter is totally borked- that requires prepping my textures and shipping them to someone else to import - so I decided to play around with re-coloring paintings- just as something new and this is what I came up with. The finished set will have 6 Re-Colors of the painting and 3 frame recolors. I need to do a little bit more testing to ensure that the other four painting recolors and the other frame recolors are showing up in game and take pics of them in game of course- but here are the first two paintings and the first frame recolors (grey). I am going with an ocean theme since it is almost Memorial Day in the U.S and Memorial Day means that the beaches in New England open.  Some of the photos are from personal photos that I took on a trip to Maine last fall and others are stock photos of the New England coast.

Here are the rest of the recolors in a slideshow for everyone. This will be uploaded to Sailfin Sims 2 however for those that are not registered with Sailfin Sims 2 forums just let me know if you want them  and I will upload them to my mediafire account as well.

Snarky love the courches and am grabbing them all.

Wow, I like those pictures, Dstar.

Question for everyone... am I the only person who's totally annoyed at the fact that when you turn on the ceiling in the game, half the crown trim disappears on the walls?  If I'm not the only one, I did make a bunch of wallpaper with larger trim to help fix that problem. I'll put up the files if anyone is interested.  Don't worry about offending me if you're not interested, I know most people don't really care about walls very much.   Cheesy

Examples below.  All the paper I've made so far has a Victorian flair.  I built a Southern Tara Style (from the movie) mansion for my game to use as a home for elders and I was making wallpaper for that first.    And yeah, I have to brag just a bit about the trim, I drew that trim out.  I thought I'd forgotten how to draw trim by hand, but I haven't.  Sprained wrist and all!  (I can type, but the mouse and I are not speaking to each other, so I've taught myself to mouse left handed, but that wrist isn't fond of it either.)

The crown trim does get a bit cut off from this when you turn the ceiling on, but it does look better than what the Maxis default crown trim leaves.

Edit reason:  Clarification and to put up pictures.

I would actually love some of those wallpapers Darqstar- I tend to build mostly Victorian homes and good wallpaper is always a plus since I try to only use build mode and homecrafter stuff for CC when making new lots, at least for making new lots for others to download.
