I figured I would post pics of the community lot I am currently working on - Landgraab Botanical Park- it is part of my custom hood that I am now renovating since moving 3000 paysite files from my d/l folder. As you can see from the little red pause outline these screenshots are not photoshopped. I am however thinking of ridding myself of the fountain on the paths because I've already done something similar - maybe replacing it with more flowers. This lot is complete- you can get it here -http://www.mediafire.com/?dzwjy0zzijm You can get more pictures here

I love all the flowers. I have many of those myself. My only suggestion would to use even MOAR flowers. edited to thank soulpatrolmn for the link. I can't believe I couldn't figure it out myself. It looks insanely easy. *duh*

My last park (published unfortunately on TSR had the statue set up similar and I don't want this one to be identical. )

I'm not really into big parks, usually, but that's gorgeous. Are all the plants and stuff custom, or is some of it Maxis? EDIT: Yeow. Fixing avatar, don't yell at me! >_<

Fixing avatar, don't yell at me! >_< Some of it is EA from the base game, Bon Voyage and Mansions and Gardens. The rest are custom plants from Sirona Sims 2, Aussie Topenders, and Bienchen83, and Macarossi over at Mod the Sims.

Thanks guys By the way, that park is nifty. I don't have the patience for community lots, I never visit them and they're sorely neglected.

I'm more of a lot builder, houses, community lots etc- I don't have the patience for learning new computer programs which makes it tough to focus on learning how to use GIMP or Milkshape in order to do re-colors or to create new objects. So I just make lots- Sometimes off of real house plans or based on real places, sometimes not.

dstar I would start fairly simple with my basic recolour tute on MTS2 and you'll find if you build your skills slowly, it's not that hard.. There's even a very basic walls and floors tute on the Sublime forum. http://sublimesimsforum.net/smf/index.php?board=26.0 And I would say, what about using the standard dirt terrain paint that comes standard with the game and maybe putting a winding path in somewhere? And Paperbeth, that lot is gorgeous. There's three new lots from me today on Sublime (first time in a while) plus one from MustLuvCats, who I have to apologise to for taking this long to publish it. (hers is bottom right) you can find 'em at.. http://sublimesims.net/

Thank you- I will think about it- I haven't even had much time to play lately. I started a prosperity challenge and just finished family 2 in CAS and week one on my first family- Work is very busy at the moment.

Paperbeth, lovely lot. I love it when someone builds a lot with a lot of interesting roof lines. May I ask where you got that dining table set from?
dstar -- I really like the variety you have going in your park. Might I suggest getting some suitable terrain paint for under the playground since kids would be hard on the grass?
saraswati, love your lots, too. Made a note to check out the site in the future. Just got a new computer and they installed the wrong OS so I'm not installing anything more than wow (so i have something play) until I get that sorted out.

It's part of the Newport dining set from SimSecrets. There's a Newport livingroom set also that I love. I use the Newport stuff a lot. It looks great in game and both sets are free. here's the link: http://www.simsecrets.biz/indexA.htmI used different chairs than what came with the set. The ones that came with it just didn't quite work with the decor of the house.
