Just finishing out the school year.  Teaching middle school in the ghetto turned out to be pretty time consuming.  Who would've guessed?

As a child, I remember being very confused by the concept of dying your hair with Kool-Aid: I didn't understand that you leave the sugar out of the mixture, so I was always too afraid of having sticky, fly-attracting hair to attempt it. I was the first kid in my middle school to buy a package of temporary green dye and rock that shit like there was no tomorrow.

I did pink. Cotton candy pink. It only lasted for, like, 3 days, but my mom wouldn't talk to me until it faded completely.

I was the kind of kid that dyed her friend's hair.  And shaved her friend's hair into mohawks and bihawks trihawks and trihawks.  And gave them two-foot liberty spikes.  But stayed very normal-looking herself.

I beg to differ - I had a mohawk back in the day, and it was totally hot - down to my waist in back. Only time in my life I've ever had good hair.

I have to agree with Zillah. I think girls with mohawks are hot. Of course, not everyone looks great with them, but that's as true for males as females. It's all a matter of personal taste, though, I guess.

Heh. I don't know how great I'd look with a mohawk either, I'll give you that. I've done the whole brightly colored and occasionally spiked thing, but never had the balls to go for the whole deal. Or, to be more specific, I was never allowed to do so when I lived at home (I lived with my grandparents and they were a little old-fashioned about things like that), and by the time I was in college, I was too poor and/or stoned most of the time to worry about hair-styling.    I suppose I could do it now, but then we're back to the whole balls issue.

I'm a huge fan of the fauxhawk. The girl I had a crush on for almost two years showed me a picture of her with a fauxhawk, and I almost ripped her clothes off right there.
