This is pissing me off.

I've decided to make a self-sim. I've worn glasses since I was 6. Never in my life have I even considered for an instant glasses with frames as thick as my pinky, or glasses that take up from the top of my eyebrows to the bottom of my cheekbone! Not to mention all those "no-frame" glasses only grandpas wear these days. Do people not realize there are a few shapes glasses come in, and usually people get thin frames to MINIMIZE the amount the glass eats your face?! Some of the ones on TSR look like ski goggles! I can't blame EA for their crappy default glasses because, well, all their accessories are crappy, it's par for course, but really! The only things decent under glasses are weird accessories like swords and wings.

Aren't glasses supposed to do that? If they didn't, you'd end up with missing coverage and not be able to see in those directions, no?

But yes, it's something which has always annoyed me, the lack of glasses. Like, at first, I had a sub at TSR, it was understandable, occasionally someone would update the Glasses section with a very ugly recolour, or some sunglasses...then people were able to mesh, and I was like, yey! But no, it was just 7zillion earrings and necklaces, each more flat-looking than the last...and no-one seems to have picked up on the glasses, even now...

The only cc in the glasses section I have is my vampire teeth and one glasses recolor.  I deleted everything else after pets, besides I kinda like the rectangular glasses that come in the game, and one of my friends made a recolor of one of the frameless glasses to look like they have a thin wire frame.

I really like the cat-eye glasses by Shannanigans, but that's just me. But I agree, the lack of good choices sucks.

I have a pair that I use for my self-sims, but I can't remember if they're frameless, or not.  There's got to be some frame, because I know it's SILVER.

I have no idea where I got it, but I can try and get a cap so you can see them, then try and find it in the glut of my downloads folder?  I think they still cover up too much of my eyes for them to be just like my glasses, but they were passably close.

I remember searching for weeks to find them, though...

Oh, I did forget to add to my rant that all the decent sized glasses seem tinted odd colors. It's impractical to see out of blue lenses.

I did download the second mts2 pair on there though, and the third is nicely done, though a little too old-lady for my self-sim. I do like the TSR ones you found, I got discouraged after 2 pages of shit and kept looking. I did make my self-sim finally, but I think I used pay hair *sighs*

I've made a few glasses. They're up on TSR. I even made a pair that resemble my RL pair. I couldn't do anything about the glass shape.

I agree though, and I suppose only people that wear glasses would notice the lack of eyewear for our sims. Most of what I see on TSR is U-G-L-Y. If that is supposed to be chic, posh, and cool, um... OK. Whatever they're drinkin' I don't want any.  :lol:
